I don't know how sustainable it is long term, but why begrudge people having some success?

Success is why. That said, I still think it's asinine but not in the "I hate streamers" way. Can't really blame people for making money in a moderately easy way.

Honestly, would have been fine with Ground Zeroes.

Ground Zeroes set the bar way too high, and the game shot to go over a completely different one that was far lower.

I get your point, but unless they do something, there's nothing to report.

I mean, they could leave up a 24/7 Broadcast of a guy holding his earpiece nodding saying "Yes, North Korea is still nuclear" every few minutes... But I mean, come on. Is it big news? Yeah. But in this case "new" is the operative. There's nothing new.

Also, news companies still need to make money. Random jackass/celeb pandering is the easy way to it.

Cops played this wrong, they should have demanded something stupid/ridiculous in recompense for discrimination and memed themselves in to good graces.

The pistol wouldn't be terribly effective in a dense jungle. Also it doesn't say he's given your starting location. Moving very little/not at all would effectively nullify any chance he has of finding you, leaving just you and the wildlife.

As someone who doesn't drink, it's because most of the people who bring it up tend to be stuck-up douches or look down on those that do. Makes it eyeroll worthy, though I have seen some people get upset I only bring it up when asked to drink something though.

...So, police aren't expected to be protectors of the peace in most cases? I mean bad news spreads quicker and when they f*** up it's double. They're expected to protect themselves and the general populace, so I guess it's normal to expect them to be scum though. Perfect example of these days "logical thinking."

What the fuck kind of a strawman is that. you claim that police are held to higher standard, I said they were not . And you come back with that reply.

I see, you just have a poor understanding of english and want to seem intellectual on a forum, so I'll spell it out in very simplistic terms.

"Police are held to a higher standard." This means they are expected to perform above and beyond your typical average Joe and expected to excel in their field of work regardless. It is a higher standard, or "higher bar" than, say, being a gas station clerk. Under-performing is seen more often with fields that require higher standards because mistakes have more severe consequences. As is the case here, in what happened. Police in general would be held to a high standard, and he didn't meet expectations in the situation.

Easier to understand, now?

So I clarified my "strawman," would you like to deal with the meat of what I said previously rather than the mundane details? Otherwise, I'll probably just carry on elsewhere.

Do I really need to clarify that all people are people? Police are generally held to a higher standard, so people forget that more often than not.

Bull shit. The fact that this guy walks shows that not to be the case.

Yes, police -should- instruct you to do this, but they're still just people. Sometimes they miss things, they might be stressed or nervous, whatever. It doesn't entitle the civilian to just shut off their brain, no human interaction works like that. Except boring ones.

Did you just completely absolve the police from anything and say "they're people" but didn't as much say the same for Castile?

Do I really need to clarify that all people are people? Police are generally held to a higher standard, so people forget that more often than not. I didn't absolve anyone by the way, I legitimately said people are prone to human error regardless of training was the point. But hey, you can nitpick however you want. It's the easiest way to not deal with the fact that people won't even practice basic self-preservation and critical thinking any more.

Poor reasoning from the people here. If the cop says don't reach for it, put your hands on some s*** and let the cop get it. Basic, logical reasoning. This is why s*** is so strained nowadays between Police and Civilians. If you can't split-second google s***, people don't think. Especially if you're armed.

Once more if cop wanted him to stop moving all together or put his hands some place else why didn't he say so . He was killed following the order that the cop gave.

While true, if you're in a questionable situation with the police, just do the intelligent thing instead of being an idiot. I've literally been in a situation where I was armed(gun at hip, wallet in pocket) and pulled over and I did what I mentioned without being asked. He asked for my ID, told him I was armed and where my wallet was, put my hands on top of my car and let him grab my wallet.
