Andrew Jackson? Consensus among actual historians is that he's easily a top 15 president. It's only in SJW pseudo-history where he's looked down upon.

lol no. I will agree with you that he's not the worst and arguably not in the lower half or presidents, but no credible historian is going to rank him in the top 10. I also understand what your saying about not pushing modern day morals on historical figures, but lets not pretend like this man didn't encourage state sponsored genocide.

Generally someone is not said to be in the "top 15" if they're in the top 10...

It probably has more to do with the fact that a lot more people are inclined to look at the sun during an eclipse, because you know, eclipse. Common sense tends to go out the window when it comes to rare events like that.

Then again, if common sense were a thing, people would not need to be reminded not to drive while wearing eclipse glasses. One would thing the whole not being able to see a damn thing would be enough of a hint to not operate heavy machinery while wearing them.

During the couple minutes of totality? Sure.

During any part of the partial eclipse? Not so much. You can still do considerable damage to your eyes by looking at the sun during a partial eclipse. Given the circumstances and the hype behind this eclipse, the warnings are quite well placed.

Of course that was his intent. Now that he's been called on it, he's trying to go with the "See and I meant to speak out against the Nazis the entire time even though I never mentioned them" nonsense that everyone sees right through. As I said, Admiral does not have even the barest shred of integrity.

No backpedaling needed. If you thought my original post was that "all counter-protesters were starting fights" or "all the fights were started by counter-protesters," you need to take some time away from juvenile insults and work on reading comprehension. Don't insert an "all-not-all" fallacy into my post and then bitch that I'm the one being dishonest.

The main thing I remember about Seattle is that temperatures are distorted by some weird disturbance in space/time and/or wind and humidity.

For example:
55 degrees in Denver = t-shirt and shorts weather
55 degrees in Seattle = huddled up in heavy coat shivering and freezing to death while muttering "what the fuck is this madness?"

Ah, I see, the lawsuit vs trump's twitter hasn't been decided yet.

Presumably if it applied at all to Trump, he wouldn't be able to block people on the @POTUS account. He can and will continue to shit all over the place on his personal Twitter and can block anyone he likes while doing so.

Then again, even if the courts were to rule against him, he'd simply ignore them anyway.

TL;DR, he was the deciding vote in allowing the repeal bill to proceed to the Senate floor, which is likely what this topic is complaining about when it was created.

Fast forward to now, and he was the decisive "no" vote in killing the GOP's apparent last ditch effort to repeal the ACA with the "skinny repeal" provision that would have basically cratered the entire industry. Basically the complete opposite of the complaints that have been made about him the last few days.
