You pretty much can't. If you try to get back into the Tiny Bronco without recovering your materia from Yuffie Cloud will stop you from doing so.

In essence you have to complete the Wutai section of the game once you've started it. You can skip the entire thing, but that locks you out of the Leviathan materia and some other goodies.

The story isn't the gameplay loop. The story is just another carrot dangled in front.

All games use a "gameplay loop" that's a blanket statement and honestly just a poor argument.

You're missing the point: it's not that there is a gameplay loop. It's that the gameplay loop sucks.

All of the additions are neat but none of them change the gameplay loop. Which was the key problem with the game.

Actally the foundation update changed the loop quite a bit. It changed which resources and how many you needed for quite a few things, added new resources, adding base building and the ability to farm or grow things at your base changed the money making patterns, adding the ability to buy freighters meant you could put your base in them and live in space instead of planetside, also added the ability to have more than one ship so you could specialize them.

Then in pathfinder you got the three different ground vehicles, which have the ability to mine resources as well as covering the land much faster. I'm not sure what else was added with pathfinder since I didn't play the game much after or during that update.

At some point also they actually added the different ship classes that were supposed to be in game at launch, and they added different grades of multitool, so it's no longer just about the number of slots it has.

So in other words, yes the gameplay loop has changed. You do still need to gather resources, but the emphasis has shifted off of that quite a bit in the mid to late game.

In the end though I'll probably not get back into NMS, I've shifted over to Elite: Dangerous for my space fix.

Probably a troll topic but I'll bite.

It comes from stage plays where the back and sides were "walled off" by curtains, leaving only the fourth wall toward the audience open for viewing. The actors are supposed to act as though the fourth wall is actually solid. So addressing the audience directly or using meta information is called breaking the fourth wall.

The problem there isn't that there can be strong people in religion, is that they attribute that strength to the religion they follow rather than believing it comes from just themselves.

A religion can't give you strength or drive that you didn't already have, or couldn't have obtained without it. Maybe they didn't know how to draw on that strength before, or didn't know they had it at all, but it was there. It's good that they awakened it within themselves, and they can use it to better themselves and others, but it was always there.

I know it's funny to even mention something like this but reading this post made me think of the episode of South Park where Randy attended AA. They convince him his alcoholism is a disease which can only be cured through religion which will allow him to persevere and defeat his demons. He shaves his head, sits in a wheelchair and acts like he's weak, and feels he's cured when the Virgin Mary statue "bleeds on him". When it's revealed the statue was "just on it's period" he feels weak again until Stan says he' stayed away from alcohol on his own.

It's one of those long age adages that religion will help make you a better person when really they're selling you a "cure" when there's nothing wrong with you to begin with.

I don't tend to follow south park at all, but that's a really good analogy to what I'm saying.

There are parts of the world (and times in history) where it takes a lot of personal courage, moral integrity and strength of will to stick to your religious beliefs in the face of social isolation, harassment, persecution, oppression, and even death. Sure, it's easy enough to stick to your religion in comfortable, modern Western democracies, where the worst consequence you might face is ridicule in an online forum. Try resisting forced conversion to a different faith. Try standing up and speaking out instead of hiding when people of your faith are being singled out for imprisonment, torture and murder.

I'm an atheist. I strongly dislike irrational belief systems that seek to control people with myths, fairy tales and superstitions ultimately backed by the threat of heavenly (or earthly) punishment for dissenters; they fit into the liberal, secular-humanistic society that I believe in about as well as a square peg in a round hole. But even I can see that people with religious faith are capable of acting with great conviction and strength of character rather than being "weak-willed".

The problem there isn't that there can be strong people in religion, is that they attribute that strength to the religion they follow rather than believing it comes from just themselves.

(character limit)

I honestly believe that people are a lot smarter and stronger of both mind and body than they believe themselves to be, and that when pressured can do absolutely amazing things. People need to be able to believe more in themselves and their own worth, and the worth of those around them more than words in a book. While the Bible is a very uplifting story overall, and you can derive some good lessons from it, you should not use it as the be-all end-all for how you live your life.

There's also the problem with the restrictions religions place on people. Some of them boil down to a passage in their holy book of choice saying "I told you so" The rules on certain kinds of food are the most bizarre to me.

Mormons can't ban all beverages containing caffeine or alcohol.. I can understand alcohol, but why caffeine?
The Eastern Orthodox Christians have restrictions on fish and meat... Again why?
Hidus can't eat beef, because one of their gods looks like a cow.
Islam again bans pork and alcohol. They also restrict coffee and teas
Judaism bans pork and shellfish. You also can't have Milk and Meat in the same meal. Just ate some hot chili? Can't have milk to cool your throat.

Those are just the ones I can remember. Why does it matter what you eat, so long as you eat healthy? It's all because of passages in their holy books that tell them not to. Various reasoning is given, but that's all it really is. All of those things that are banned don't have major health concerns for people (at least not anymore) and some are actually good for you, like moderate caffeine intake.

There's so many aspects of religions that are just either completely outdated or silly that they shouldn't be adhered to. Did you know the Bible advocates that if your children are unruly and refuse to listen to you, you're supposed to bring them to the leader of your village/town/city and tell them so, in order to have them put to death? Also that you should be happy about beating your children. That one sounds extreme so here's the passage.

Psalm 137:9
“Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.”

Uhhh, no thanks. Let's also not forget that the Bible advocates slavery, and that there should be no punishment at all for beating a slave to death "because the slave is his property"

Religion is a crutch used by the weak willed who are unwilling to accept that anything they do that is wrong is wholly their fault, and think that just by saying "I'm Sorry" so a phantasm in their own heads makes any wrongdoing they've done go away like it never happened. It also incites fear and hatred in people towards other people simply because they think the phantom in their own head is a different shape or color, or says different things.

I'm not even going to read the rest of your malarkey. A crutch used by the weak willed? I'm just coming into my own as a religious being and I think that the lord is showing me the right way in life. I made mistakes. I hurt people, family, friends, countless lovers. But I want to make my wrongs right and church is helping me with that.

I think that people like YOU could use religion because reading your whole post, it's pretentious, self-absorbed, and honestly you seem like you are giving a cry for help.

I want to really rip into you and give you the business but...

"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love" - Ephesians 4:2

I own my mistakes, and use then as a tool to make myself a better person. I find it kind of funny though that you refused to read the rest of my post. I outlined the rules I live my life by, which are very simple. If you had read that part, you would be able to see that I'm pretty much the opposite of self-absorbed. As for being pretentious? Not at all. Again in my view of the world, every person is just as important as every other person. Some people may have more assets, greater skills or talents, or etc, but overall they are of the same importance as you are to me.

The only one person in this world who is more important than everyone else in it is my wife, and that's how it should be with your spouse.

So pretentious. Old me would say something about your wife, but I'm not that person anymore. However, I went back and checked out your code you live by and saw this one.

"3: Regard all around you as better than you, and treat them as such, even if they are not."

Yet, you completely contracdickt this when you open your holier-than-thou tirade with "Religion is a crutch used by the weak willed who are unwilling to accept that anything they do that is wrong is wholly their fault"

A man is only as good as his word, and your word doesn't seem very good, my dude.

I don't know you. I have no idea what kind of person you are, or what life you live now or have lived before. I have no basis to treat you badly as a person, and I won't. You're probably a really good guy who treats people with respect and have a personal honor and integrity that you hold dear that helps define who you are. All of which is extremely commendable. Also notice I said that you should regard people as better than you are, even if they're not. I never said that a person's thoughts or opinions arent beyond being dissected, analyzed, or ridiculed.

By bringing attention to the flaws in a person's logical thinking or ideas, you can help them to come to a better conclusion, not just by your own standards, but one that could potentially better their life and the lives of those around them. Even if that doesn't happen, you at least tried to, and that counts overall, since your intention was to help the person.

I used to follow religion as well, and was a member of more than one at some point in my life. The reason I have a problem with it is that no religion I've been part of or read about (save for Buddhism) stressed building and relying on your own strength

Truth is the people who follow religions just don't have the strength of will or enough faith in themselves to do what is right for themselves, other people, or the world. Hell religion is responsible for most of the worst wars and atrocities in human history, if not one initiated by some fanatic for a religion, then persecuted against people of a religion the persecutor doesn't like or agree with.

The only thing that religion does overall, is create victims and villains. It doesn't matter what religion you are part of, at some point in time it was both of those things. For some religions it was more of one of them than the other, but still both. People need to just know how to be good people without relying on a crutch to draw on as an excuse to be a good person. They don't need Daddy God to give them a pat on the shoulder and tell them it'll be ok when things go wrong either.

There's a very distinct lack of inner strength and purpose in the people of the world today. And while some people claim they draw strength and purpose from religion, they dedicate too much of themselves to "proving" they have it, or "earning" it from whatever god they follow. They already had that strength inside them, but are wasting it in a fruitless endeavor.

If religious people want a very simple set of rules to live their lives by without having to dedicate themselves to anything or make a commitment they may not agree with later on, here you go, some simple life rules.

1: Always do what will benefit yourself and those around you the most, and cause the least detriment to everyone.
2: Never worry about the things you cannot change, and work swiftly to change those that you can.
3: Regard all around you as better than you, and treat them as such, even if they are not.
4: Never lie, cheat, or steal. Do not attempt to acquire anything you have not earned.
5 Find happiness in all of your tasks. If you must do something you do not want to, find a way to make it enjoyable.

There, 5 life rules that will practically guarantee to make you a happier and more fulfilled person. I've lived by these rules for over a decade and have never been happier, am more well liked, and have completely gotten rid of my anger issues I used to have (which was really bad). No religion necessary, no banned foods, drinks, or activities, no stupid social laws about how to treat some people better than others. Better than all religions already.

Certainly the book power. He'll you could become the world's greatest lawyer in an afternoon, or be able to utilize all kinds of mathematics or scientific theorems, depending on your capabilities.

What if you're a programmer? Can instantly learn a new programming language just by touching a printed manual about it. Considering the one week of practice rule for spoken languages I would imagine doubling that to two weeks for computer languages.

In two weeks you'd be able to code anything you could ever want to. Now for all of the people thinking of the money aspect of the powers, just how rich is Bill Gates again? You'd be able to code something far more reliable with your perfect understanding of the code.

As long as they're not out drinking and driving

I am in complete agreement with this. My exact same feelings.

The voice actor for Bender on Futurama does the voice for a racist on FFX.

Also the voice of a true badass in Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines, and Jake the Dog in Adventure Time.

Well Yoko Taro did say that the androids often do create genitalia for themselves, even if they arent made with them by default.

I think 2B's would be god-tier then. Never gets sweaty, no periods, and easy to keep maintained. That said though, she would probably get all kinds of dust and whatnot in there from combat.

So for me the best vag from Nier automata has to go to 6O. She seems the type who would make herself as girly as possible, which would be having the perfect cooter attached to herself, and she'd take care of it. She does show interest in forming relationships when she cries to 2B about being rejected.

So yeah, 6O has probably the best in all gaming.

Imagine a woman treated like a doormat covered with DNA.

Imagine sex where she has to go to the hospital.

I had sex like that before.

Got my wife pregnant and she went to the hospital to have our daughter.

It sounds like you're the one with the problem Reg, not the other guy.

FYI, I get along well with a lot of older people. I talk to them at work and in my own time and things never feel weird or awkward about it.

My grandmother is 90 years old also, and she and I get on great. She has a very droll sense of humor sometimes, but most of the time she's a rather proper lady, which is a rare thing these days.

You might want to seek counseling over this
