Having a huge wedding is stupid. It is a needless expense that starts many new marriages off with financial stress. Tens of thousands of dollars gone for a single afternoon that creates more stress than it brings joy. Go cheap on the wedding, save for the honeymoon where you can actually enjoy yourself

We are actually going cheap. That's why I'm not hiring the makeup artist! All in all I think it will cost us less than 3000. Helps a lot that although the markups exist, they're not as bad in Mexico. Plus we got a lot of the things gifted, like the dress which had the potential to be the most expensive thing.

I read these stories then realize how fucking lucky I was to have my in-laws pay for literally everything except for the booze.

You really lucked out. We were lucky to find a venue that charges the same regardless of the event, but every other one had a 1000-2000 dollars markup if you mentioned it was for a wedding.

Everything has a ridiculously stupid mark up. Makeup artist who usually charges 100 is charging me 410 just because I mentioned it's for a wedding. I'm doing my own makeup eff this ish.
Thank goodness my cousin is a baker and he's gifting us the cake or I'm sure that would've been the same problem.

Yeah... At first I tried to convince myself it was cool cause I got a 30% off in the store but then it just dawned on me how freaking stupid it is to literally hand my paycheque to my job. There's a coworker who keeps stealing shit saying it's part of his paycheque and honestly i can't blame him. He didn't want to be cashier but they made him, and one time he lost a credit card payment ticket of 200 dollars, they discounted the entire thing off his pay.
Like how does that make sense? What could he do with literally just a receipt? The credit card payment has to be logged in the system so it's not like he deposited the money in his account or something.

I really really dislike people who hear the "5 minutes to close!, please go to the cashiers to pay" And "were now closed, thank you, visit us again!" Yet they still walk around picking stuff and going to the changing rooms to try everything with all the time in the world. Cashiers aren't allowed to leave until every customer leaves.

In retrospective i should've known but I'm distracted like that. I like RuPaul's Drag Race and I love Kim Chi, and my cousin tagged me in an event at a club where she's gonna be (along with Naomi Smalls <333) so I was like all over that and let's go and shit.

Only days after buying the tickets I tell him it's gonna be my first time at a drag show and also at a club. Look into other methods before settling for something permanent. IUD is fairly easy to maintain and you basically have to do nothing. Also a lot of doctors might reject you because they don't like doing that surgery to young people (at least here in Mexico).
