TopicWhat do you think the main reason is FF release pace has slowed?

Today's poll was depressing because it made me think that FF is dying. Not only because of quality, also because of the slowing pace at which they release them.

Another poll question might be - how many numbered FF games will be released in the next 10 years? If we get 3 that would be a miracle.

They used to release the new games every 2-3 years as if no problem. They were great games that most of us still look back and enjoy more than their current releases. And we paid about the same amount of money for each new game as we do now.

Is it because games are harder to develop now in days? Wouldn't it make more sense to work hard and release something new every year? Even if it's not 100% great at least we can say - hey we get another one in 15 months!

So I'm a little confused. Thoughts?

How about Chipotle's red spicy sauce? That is a pretty comfortable, tasty flavor going in. However, when it leaves your body, the real spiciness kicks in...

What was the best N64 game in your opinion?

I can sort of relate.. I had over 120 complete SMS games (and was still going).. something about the mid 80s to early 90s 8bit SEGA era appealed to me.
Had to let em go when I moved.. so I researched prices, took out the rare ones out and sold the rest as a set

Anyway, good luck to you, its not an easy decision

My favorite of all the games - probably Banjo Tooie. The first one gets all the hype which is fine but the second one starts you with every ability the first ended with and the game is really, really long.

About 50 or so of the games though are just incredible. Jet Force Gemini, Conker's Bad Fur Day, and Diddy Kong Racing are some of my favorites as well. Wow I guess I like Rare, lol.

That's really neat. I wish I had the patience to do such a thing.
But now that you've collected all the American games, how about collecting other games that was only released in other regions?
That's probably a lot harder(and more expensive) though.

I dunno about you but if I had all N64 cartridges in my collection I would keep them all. No matter how shitty some of them were.

I have one Japanese game although collecting all of those is not too interesting to me. I did, however, collect every Nintendo Power issue released 6 months before the N64 came out all the way to the release of the Game Boy Advance (when the N64 coverage ended). Reading through them is like your chronological guide to playing every game.

So it's pretty sweet and I'm likely to keep it all. At least to see what its worth a little more into the future. I have no idea if I have a kid one day if they will appreciate it. It would be upsetting if not, lol. There's also a lot of great 4p multiplayer games too.

Yeah after collecting them all I feel I have to keep them together. The problem is about half the games are pretty bad or lessened by a sequel. And most games that I'd rather keep are the ones that are worth a lot more. Others were all so cheap though it became addicting to buy one by one.

It's hard to predict a future 20 years from now, will the cartridges even work anymore?

Over the course of a few years I slowly collected all the american release N64 games except for Clayfighter: Sculptor's Cut. They are all in pretty great condition with all of the labels in tact and no writing.

At first I collected just because I love the N64 and simply wanted them. However, I've also considered their potential resale value one day, given that Nintendo products continue to have huge popularity. Someone on ebay I recall had all 296 all for like five thousand dollars or more. Maybe that's the ceiling for how much they can be worth. Thoughts?
