This is one thing I always loved about my ex. Every time we went out to eat she'd just throw me a $20, no questions asked. It was funny because we'd always joke about it like she was "paying me for my services." She even paid for both of us several times or would sometimes order delivery. She did this despite not having a lot of extra money.

At first I was kind of on the fence about it and wouldn't allow it, but she was persistent so I eventually started to. I thought it was pretty decent of her. Although I don't think I would ever expect/demand it from a partner, it's honestly fair and I like the idea of both people in the relationship contributing and pulling their own weight. Women should offer up something more than just sex once in a while.

That's a serious new low when you cannot even pay an ugly prostitute to have sex with you.

I get it though. I consider myself just average and it's a damn shame the way most women treat you if you're not tall and/or attractive. They make me feel like I don't even have the right to exist around them.

Then...she probably doesn't look too bad, lol.

That's a lot of wiggle room for 10 lbs.

Yeah, but weight gain is almost always a slippery slope.. that's the problem. She probably looks fine now, maybe even great, but she will probably keep steadily gaining if she doesn't change her current habits. This is always how it starts. At least she recognizes it and is willing to make some changes.

Without counting calories? Just reduce portion sizes and cut out a lot of stuff that you would traditionally consider unhealthy like excess sugar and such. Exercise can help as well but you can't expect a bit of cardio to undo day after day of shitty eating habits.

I'm not sure how I would feel about marrying one that wasn't already a permanent resident though. I guess it would be okay, but I'd probably wonder if they were just doing it for the proverbial "green card."

I agree with OP, especially due to how easy it is to do them now. You can easily see where they all are and mark them on the map. It shows how much time they have. They also seem to be going on constantly.

With the first game, you pretty much had to be lucky and stumble across one. IIRC they only activated every fifteen minutes or something and it was in a different area of the map. You could download apps to track them but I never cared enough to.

I usually only go to movies with the people I'd be texting the most anyway (close friends, girlfriend) so I really try not to, even if I start getting bored.

There's been one too many times where I've had to sit behind someone that was on their phone literally the entire night. It was worse with older phones where you couldn't really control the brightness and they had loud buttons instead of touch screen keyboards.

I don't know why people that do this don't turn their brightness the fuck down, it would basically be a non-issue then.

To be fair, I don't use "slut" in a derogatory way. A woman certainly isn't a slut just for liking sex. I don't look down on a guy or girl for sleeping around, but they're still a slut. Might as well just say it like it is and own it.

Edit: This above sentence seems fucked after I read it again, but a woman can like sex without taking a new guy home every night. Being a slut is excessive, simply liking and enjoying sex is not.

You can use that same argument for women though? Like if all you have is your three holes, it's no wonder people don't want to date you. How many girls do you know that are really boring, lack personality, don't have anything that isn't vapid to say, don't have much going on in their lives (usually just chill at home most of the time on Netflix or Facebook, get smashed in the bars/clubs on the weekend). But they put out so it's okay?

I've dated girls like that, all my friends have dated girls like that, etc.

Anyway, I'm just saying I get the point the guy is trying to make. As always it's one of those "can't paint everyone with the same brush" thing. Not all nice guys or sluts are the same. We are just analyzing the stereotypical versions here mostly.

This concept is hard for me to grasp. It really makes me wonder how many women are truly straight. If you're attracted to a man, I would think that most of the sexual acts (at least the common ones) would be a major turn on.

Yeah, I don't get it either. You should want to pleasure your partner and find it really hot to do so.

I don't know if I've just been with a lot of "lazy lovers" or what, because a lot of girls either weren't great at it (maybe lack of enthusiasm) or they did it a lot at the beginning but then really tapered off as the relationship progressed. I'm sure it's not always the most pleasant thing, especially if you are not fresh out of the shower but I always keep the area clean and well trimmed/shaven anyway.

Never actually finished from a BJ before (never had a good one then, I know).. but it still feels good, is fun and good foreplay before the actual act.

No, no they are not...

The "nice guys" of women are the ones that constantly talk about how all the good men are taken, and then go on a rant about how much the remaining men suck.

How you managed to come to the conclusion that a "slut" is the equivalent is of a female "nice guy" is beyond me...

Usually sluts are the ones that talk about how all the good men are taken. Maybe they are not outright whoring around, but I think on average a lot of young women just go from guy to guy to guy and have these relatively short "relationships."

But like, I can see what he's saying. Nice guys freely give up their resources (usually financial, time, etc) hoping for sexual intimacy. They get used for their resources but nobody wants to date or marry them.

Sluts freely give up their resources (their bodies) hoping for financial security and commitment. Although not all, some girls just like sex. In the same sense though, they get used for their resources but nobody wants to date or marry them.

I've tried to compromise it and I can't. Makes me feel gross and wrong, just can't do it.

And I think it's very off beat and just inconsiderate to sit her and tell me I don't deserve/can't ever find a good relationship because I need more than a month to build up to be ready for sex.
Or to say no relationship I can be in is going to be healthy/viable just because one thing I don't want to do.

My parents are both married and didn't even have sex before marriage for whatever their reason is. I don't need to go put out and have sex with every guy just to find the guy I want.

And that CE thinks every guy I find interesting or likeable has earned/deserves sex is an absolutely incorrect mindset. I didn't say I'll never have sex and I'm not waiting for marriage specifically and I don't need just one special guy as my only ever partner like my mom did.

Butim not gonna go on 3 dates and suddenly put out.
I'm not gonna have sex with every frat boy that thinks I'm cute or think it's funny to spank me either. Not that this is the part you're arguing but still.

So no~ I am not wrong for wanting more than 3 dates. I'm not the bad guy for not being ready or willing to have sex with everyone.

I didn't say any of those things though, I am just saying that you should be more realistic. Compromise doesn't necessarily mean giving it up as soon as the guy wants it. You can still take your time, but maybe try rounding some of the bases a little without going all the way home? Again, very few guys will want to date a girl that just wants to cuddle and hold hands for several months or more. That is like middle school stuff. I am not judging you or talking down to you, that is just the reality of the society we live in. A relationship without anything sexual (not even a little groping or hand play) is going to have a hard time surviving.

If you feel sex is gross and wrong, what makes you think that giving it more time is somehow going to change that? It takes more than three dates to really know someone and get comfortable, but if you're not feeling any attraction or physical desire what makes you think you ever will? It's not like after a month, or two, or three, six, a year.. your feelings are magically going to just change on their own. Maybe sex isn't for you?

I'm assuming your parents immigrated here? If that's the case, they're from a different country with a much, much different culture where no sex before marriage is pretty much the norm or is at least extremely common. It was even more common here with older generations. Today? lolno. It's not really fair to use them as an example.

So to sum it up, no guy deserves sex from you for any reason.

You're also not wrong for not wanting to have sex or to blame for your relationships not working out. You deserve to have a relationship too.

But like, how can two people be compatible when one person wants sex and the other doesn't? I think you should try to sort this out while you're still young, because it's only going to get worse the older you get.

But that doesn't make sense.

It should be more important to spend quality time together baking goods and going out and having fun in ways we both enjoy

You could consider those things equally important or maybe even more so, since that's what you will be spending the majority of your time doing. Relationships aren't just 100% sex all the time, but sex cannot be completely absent from any relationship that you expect to be healthy or long lasting.

If you still wanted to date, basically all you could do was join an asexual support group or dating site and see if you meet someone there. You will never be able to have a healthy relationship with a man otherwise, it's just not possible. Sex is always expected, and if that's not something you're willing to compromise on even a little then the only option is to find someone who also doesn't want sex.

Or unreleased Zeppelin track?" Since I'm pretty damn familiar with both of their discographies. f***ing THIS. it has to be a conscious choice. but what drives it? one of my pals was in the closet in HS and spoke normally the whole time I knew him then. He came out sometime after school was over and now his voice tone is f***ing overbearingly lispy and feminine, to the point where I just can't take the dude seriously sometimes. He still has the same husky appearance and doesn't act different or girlier than before, it's just the voice.

i just had a brainwave. do they just put it on as an identifier so other gay men know they're gay? would make the most sense i guess. would be nice if he turned it off around our circle of friends who have known each other for years and really don't give a shit whether he's gay or not though.

I was going to post this too when I read the subject line before clicking but decided it would probably be considered "offensive." But absolutely this x1000.

I had the same situation with a friend in high school. Was a "man's man," into sports and all that, worked out regularly. Deep masculine voice. Then after coming out he's suddenly Richard Simmons? WTF.

I've reached a similar conclusion with the "gay voice" and certain styles or behaviours. Gotta be an identifier.

For me, the main thing that terrifies me is getting old. I see a lot of these people (very sick, very weak, hardly know where they are half the time). For someone like me who tries to maintain my health to the highest level and live a good quality of life, I think that's a fate worse than death. I can't imagine just slowly becoming a shell of your former self as your mind and body goes. The "prime" years of life seem like they're so short too, like maybe I don't have a lot of truly good years left before my health starts to slowly decline (I'm 31). I don't think it would hurt my feelings if I died young-ish.

When you give nudes to someone you should be aware that you are taking the risk of them being shown to others or worse, being posted on the Internet. Even if it's not intentional or malicious, someone could potentially stumble across the person's phone, find them on a computer, etc. As a general rule I don't give out any nudes, nor do I ask for them. What I get in person is enough for me, there's porn for the times when I'm alone.

That being said, I don't think there's ever any good reason to leak something like that when it was shared within the confines of a relationship. I don't care how bad the breakup was or even if they cheated. Have some maturity and basic decency and just delete the pictures/videos once that person is out of your life.

That actually makes a lot of sense to me. I never really thought about it that way. I think after a certain point the height differential gets hella awkward. Like if they're out in public, it's like the dude is walking around with his kid or something, haha.

But it seems like taller is always better in their eyes, no matter what the girl's height is. Maybe until it gets to the 6'6" and beyond point though, that's the only time I can see it starting to hinder a guy in the dating game.

It's admittedly shallow, but most of dating/sexuality is. Especially in the early stages, it's almost purely based on physical attractiveness. Look at modern day dating. It's been reduced to swiping right on people you think are bangable and swiping left on the rejects. Haha.

I think rejecting anyone for any reason is reasonable, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't suck when you're a guy that's regularly rejected for something superficial that you have no control over.

I also don't find the fat comparison fair. It's the first thing most guys think of to compare since it's about on par for unattractiveness with a short male, but being fat isn't some unchangeable thing like height is. You can always lose the weight if you're willing to work at it for a bit.

What can I do? Wear lifts or something, but of course I'll eventually be exposed and then I'd be made fun of more than if I had just been honest about my lack of height.

Easily my height. It's pretty insane to think that my life would be 100% different if I was just a few inches taller. As it stands now it's basically a disability. I feel like people wouldn't view me any differently than they do now if I was literally in a wheelchair.

I've spent my entire life eating right, staying away from drugs/alcohol and working on my physique. I look young for my age and am physically quite fit, but none of that matters when 90% of women seem to be accompanied with a "You must be this tall to ride" sign. I still have a chance with the remaining 10% if I work hard, but I will never know what it's like to be "in demand" or be able to slut around or whatever. There is nothing I can do aside from becoming mega rich that would make me desirable to the opposite sex.

It gets worse when you realize that tall guys are far more likely to get hired or get that big raise/promotion, which doesn't even make much sense. Even other guys have a height fetish.

No time for socializing, extra-curricular activities, or even preparing and sitting down for a proper meal. That gets depressing as fuck after a while and can really wear a person down. You'll find yourself asking if it's worth it a lot of the time, what's the point, etc.

Hopefully you can tough it out TC. Just keep your eyes on the prize. Life might be pretty miserable for a few years (or however long), but it'll be exponentially better once you get through to the other side.

That is really unfortunate that this is happening to you three years in. Depression is a bitch for sure, but it's really hard on those around you that care about you too. It can take a really, really long time to find the proper medication/dosing that is helpful with a minimal amount of side effects. You would have to be in it for the long haul, and there's always a chance that she won't ever be the same as she was.

I feel pretty torn thinking about this, it's hard for me to imagine what I would do in your shoes. Obviously you still love her but it seems like you have to decide if it's still worth it to stay in the relationship, especially since things don't seem to be improving after a few months. You could always try giving it some more time. She is clearly aware of the issues but it doesn't seem to help much that she's so defensive about it. It's always possible to go back and discuss options with the doctor, look into ways of improving libido (or possibly other things), etc.

We know about all the health risks (obviously that doesn't matter much to youth). But they are taxed to hell and expensive AF here in Canada (like $10+ a pack). Also with the majority of places and even rental properties not allowing you to smoke inside or not even having a designated smoking area anymore. You have to go outside away from the buildings and smoke.. especially in the dead of winter, I don't think it's worth it. It's just a generally looked down upon, disgusting thing to do. Very far from the days where it was the cool kid thing or rebellious thing to do.

Also, vaping exists. So it's weird to me that more people aren't going for that instead.

Pretty sure they just want literal open borders where anyone can come and go as they please.

It blows my mind that chicks can turn their feelings on and off like a lightswitch, despite supposedly being the more warm/emotional/empathetic ones. 90% of the time it's just because a better looking or more well resourced guy gave them attention.

Probably best to just cut your losses and move on. Definitely don't make any attempt to follow her on social media or anything, you're not going to like what you see.

I agree on the SNES Classic although I feel I won't ever get one. That generation was pure magic for me and a lot of those games are some of my all-time favourites. I know I can just use an emulator or potentially build a Raspberry Pi or something similar (mostly too lazy for this) but it's not really the same.

My interest has dwindled to next to nothing over the years. I think it's been probably about six years since I've been super into a video game enough to play it regularly. I've tried getting into a lot of games since then but I always lose interest after not too long.

Good on you for taking the time to do a "catch and release" instead of just killing it.

If it was a cobra I would have killed it for sure but pythons are relatively harmless. Only animal I kill on my property are geckos. Those fucking things cover the walls of my house every night and shit everywhere. I use them as target practice with my airsoft guns.

Yeah, all fucking bets are off if it's a cobra. You don't want that thing getting anywhere near you or yours.

Being from Alberta too, I almost can't imagine living somewhere that actively has reptiles all over the place. Like a literal wall of the things? Haha. Big spiders and other creepy shit too I'd imagine.

Social media is like the opposite of socializing. What's more, it makes everyone sort of live in their own personal bubble no matter where you go. So in the past where you might have struck up a conversation with a stranger and made a new friend, very seldom is that possible these days.

Also cheapens real life social experiences when people can't stop checking their phones or actively uploading things to their accounts instead of just living the moment. Everything is very "Look at me! Look at me!" and then everyone comes along and just circle jerks. I can't say I enjoy it.

Guess I am just salty AF and a grandpa/dinosaur since I'm the only one who seems to feel this way, lol.

She was also Anne-Marie in All Dogs Go To Heaven.

Pretty tragic circumstances too. I found that out when I was still in my teens, and it sort of bummed me out for a bit since I naturally loved those two movies as a kid.

I remember seeing that a while back, everything about it was stupid. Two things off the top of my head:

1. You can literally just squeeze the packs with your hands, you don't need a $400 machine with Internet access for that.

2. The nutrients really aren't viable for long after juicing. Even with a real juicer it's best to drink the juice ASAP after juicing your vegetables.

In today's world, even if it's your wife that's rape apparently.

When I was growing up I heard some relatively sensible stuff like "No means no" and to stop as soon as they say.

Now the new thing is "If it's not a yes it's a no?"

Kind of kills the spontaneity when you have to have them sign a literal contract before proceeding with rounding the bases, no matter what the status or length of the relationship.

Oh, and no alcohol ever. If your wife of twenty years has even a sip of light beer, you just raped the shit out of her.
