I run VMs and the damn things would take down 2-3 entire cores by themselves on my old 6-core CPU. They'd sometimes slow down other things and it was annoying. Moving to an 8 core, I think, would have been more than sufficient. But screw Intel and AMD seemed to have issues on that platform. I somewhat regret going to AMD's x399 now though. I've been having A LOT of issues with the current system. Mostly minor things but a couple of horrific things are really ruining the experience. --- Believe. |
