Anyone, this guy was an asshole for firing a weapon in public and was properly charged. No excuse for that stupidity, and he's lucky no one was harmed.

Nothing is going to happen. Russia isn't going to do shit. Maybe we bomb Syria some more. Maybe NATO gets involved. At worst there ends up being a "peace keeping force" made up of mostly American forces and we end up in some god forsaken dozen year conflict again.
But there's not going to be a WW3. Russia will shoot it's mouth off like usual while we tell them to piss off. The usual suspects get behind us while the others verbally support Russia's stance but don't do anything one way or the other.

When we have the means to literally blow ourselves up, it's only a matter of time before something happens. It's just math.
