I think some people were expecting Sonic Boom to be the next Sonic 2006. It had some pretty bad stuff in Day 1 and Day 2, but that's it. Nowhere near Sonic 2006 levels.

Cavalry and flier do have less BST than infantry! Also, I feel like cavalry and fliers are generally pretty good in every FE game except in Fates. The lower statline just isn't enough to offset the balance of the added mobility.

I honestly don't get the horse/flier emblem stuff anyway. What a dumb design decision to make that a thing-- that's not even a thing in Fire Emblem so you can't blame that.

I mean, basically everything here is against the meta of bladetomes, brave weapons, and buffed cavalry/flier units.

Future Arc is kind of interesting and exciting for a while, but the payoff is so disappointing. Watching it again just makes you realize how dumb it is.

Despair Arc is pretty good.

I used Morgana a bunch. Healing and Lucky/Miracle Punch, too good. Also, maybe it's just me but I felt like there were a lot of wind weaknesses around the end.

Sorey just makes me think of the way Canadians say "sorry" and I feel like it should always be followed by an "eh?"

I dunno why people are suddenly focusing on story for Fire Emblem. Fire Emblem has never been great with stories. They're fine, but let's not pretend they were incredible plots. Even FE9 had a pretty bare-bones plot; it was just pretty well-written and focused on the right parts of the plot.

Fire Emblem has always been about the charm and style above all else and I feel like Fates had enough of that. The changes in gameplay makes it heads above any other FE game, too. I don't like Revelations at all and I never played Birthright, but Conquest is my #1 FE game.

I watched it with my mom. She's a massive Sons of Anarchy fan, which really spurred it on. Plus, she's kinda into that old-school medieval fantasy stuff. I thought it was enjoyable enough. A little dull, but nothing really bad.

What I don't get is if they're going for the MCU audience, the only character that got a graphical change to fit their more MCU look is Hawkeye. Gamora in particular is baffling. She looks completely unrecognizable.

Then again, with the character models already looking pretty bad, trying to model based on the more realistic style of the MCU is probably asking for failure.

Top 3 Rongpuraes are Cobra, Last Alert, and Shadow of Destiny. Would Sonic 2006 and Metroid: Other M fall under Rongpuraes? They probably wouldn't pierce that top 3, but they're pretty good.

I'm pretty slow on the Mystery of the Druids one, though. Hopefully I can speed through it next week.

Cancel Affinity would be good on tankier bows/daggers since the only people who would really be running Triangle Adept would be Raven tome users.

Though, I can't think of any bow/dagger that wouldn't be running Desperation or Quick Riposte. Maybe if you're using Felicia/Niles or Faye?

I like Captain America 1, but it certainly doesn't have any high highs. I guess I can give it points for being consistently above-average, which isn't true for all Marvel movies. Plus, it helps that it probably has the most likable cast outside of the collaboration movies and GotG.

Aww yeah, some Iron Man 2 appreciation! I enjoyed it as soon as it came out and was pretty surprised at the negative reception. Justin Hammer is excellent and the other characters are all pretty great. Too bad Whiplash is pretty boring. I rewatched it recently and I was really surprised how empty the final confrontation was. It doesn't even pretend to be interesting.

Feminists are definitely guilty of it, too. And I'm fine being on the feminist "side." I know he precedes it with "extreme", but it's just weird to focus on just that. There's a bunch of stuff to talk about, why get on this subject? Not to mention that I feel this sector of feminism is being exaggerated and blown up to be a straw man. Bring in the context of the other stuff and, like I said, it's red flags. I have no desire to get into that particular community of the Gamergate group. Based on experience, they're some of the most obnoxious, unpleasant people to be around.

I understand that apology could be just trying to get attention and doesn't do any true help, but I feel like it's basically giving him another chance. I know so little about this guy so it's possible that my first impression of this guy was wrong. And again, the stakes here are so low. It's just an indie game.

Tim Sorret just made a statement on the PC Gaming Show about how he was deeply embarrassed by his past statement and apologized.

That goes a long way, much more than people ITT trying to claim what he said wasn't a big deal. Kudos to him for growing.

Also, it's not so much that the other side is all bad, but based on the content of his tweets, Sorret looked like someone who embraced the worse spots of Gamergate. The fact that he apologized says more about his character and puts him more as a moderate than an extremist, which I'm personally fine with.

I mean, let's be real here. It will probably be a meh game. 7/10 at best. If it ends up being a masterpiece or some really good game, I'll probably still get it. And the point about separating the art from the artist is a valid point. But the tweets just feels like a red flag and it kinda turns me off from the game.

Generally, I wake up before my alarm goes off. Otherwise, I wake up as soon as the alarm goes off. When I do snooze, I usually just manually set up my alarm to happen 30 minutes or an hour later, but that doesn't happen too often.

I actually did make a list. I just need more data, to copy links and to actually make write ups. I'm at work so I don't have my list. That one is definitely in the bottom tier, possibly next after Khan. Both are stupid ideas. One makes no sense and is extremely lopsided. The other is 2+ minutes of boring cliches and is also very lopsided. Khan's has no redeeming qualities. Adam vs. Eve? At least the tune is semi-catchy and the girl who plays eve has a great body.

I mostly agree with you, but I'd put Khan/Bunny over Adam/Eve for at least being interesting and raising my eyebrow, even if it's really dumb. Adam/Eve is just completely one-note for me.

as long as you have those 2 at the bottom 2, then I think we're good

I remember Series being my least favorite, even below Rivals and Villains. I like the premise of Years a lot since I never thought about games in that way before. The actual contest itself was pretty boring, though, and is probably the worst one.
