Harvey was the strongest hurricane to hit Texas in quite a while and Houston has flooding issues as it is.

Also, the hurricane was more or less positioned just right to dump rain on Houston for a couple days.

Yes, but that may be a good thing. It depends. We will see.

I'm not sure that the solution to something that's horribly under-reported is to make it even less worth someone's time to report it. "Beyond reasonable doubt" is an extremely high standard of evidence for sexual misconduct because of its nature: it's often one person's word against another.

She's absolutely right in that we need better support for victims, but it really sounds like she's courting the "i'm terrified of being falsely accused of rape" crowd while saying generalities that nobody in their right mind would argue with. I hope I'm wrong about that.

I've used Crusader and Vestal a lot. Houndmaster, not so much. I mostly paired him in a party with the Bounty Hunter, Arbalest, and the Man-At-Arms since they all have abilities that involve marking enemies.

Oh yeah, the MAA is also really good.

Houndmaster does just about everything. Good stress heal, good stun, good damage, self heal.

I think that this is a bad mindset, at this time. Ideally, this is how things should be, but it's wrong to ignore the context and implications of someone's speech. If a minority says something awful about the majority, there's not the same threat as if someone in the majority says the same thing about a minority group. So while the literal words may be identical (or nearly), what is said could change quite a lot based on who said it.

I think it's behind ANH and ESB. I'm not sure if I like Jedi or R1 more.

Virtually no one needs to know calculus at all.

The point of learning calculus for the majority of people that take it isn't to learn how to take a derivative or do an integral. If it was, a 30 minute lecture on the geometry of derivatives and integrals would be enough to get the main point across. The concept is really fucking simple. It's the algebra, problem solving, and communicating that people struggle with.
