Y'all do know plot armor exists for a reason, right?
It would suck to watch Game of Thrones and watch half of the main characters die from a random plague they got from pigs or whatever.

It's what exists to make the stories not feel like a bunch of random events strung together, that there is a narrative arc that exists and a through line.

J.J. was fine (maybe even good with the amount of crap he probably has to deal with), and that's totally OK for what they're doing.
The framing and pacing were all pretty good, nothing that's blowing the waters out for artistic creativity, but for a Disney Star Wars (tm) film, I'm happy he's there.

Saying, "we don't know that it doesn't exist, means it could still exist!" is kind of a silly argument, you know that, right?
The same way I can claim that the world is full of invisible pink elephants and then if someone says, "no that's dumb" I can claim "we don't know that it doesn't exist!".

Bruh, from the link you just posted:
UPDATE: In June 2013 I was saddened to hear that Marjorie Fish had passed away. An obituary reports

As one of her hobbies, Marjorie made an investigation into the Betty Hill map by constructing a 3-D star map in the late 1960’s using several databases. She found a pattern that matched Mrs. Hill’s drawing well, which generated international interest. Later, after newer data was compiled, she determined that the binary stars within the pattern were too close together to support life; so as a true skeptic, she issued a statement that she now felt that the correlation was unlikely.

Critical Hit
The Adventure Zone
Temple of the Lava Bears

Non-DnD podcasts (that may still have DnD):

RPPR Actual Play
RPPR Tabletop Tales
Rag-NERD-rok Podcast
The Mixed Six (technically)

RPG Adjacent:
GM Word of the Week*
Lookout Radio

RPPR

The *'s are where I give a heavy recommendation

A fistful of cheese on a tortilla, salt, pepper, red how chili peppers flakes, a small amount diced red and green onions, a small amount of chicken, and then some paprika sprinkled on top (you really need to be careful on paprika, that stuff can get powerful and it always seems to come out clumped).

Imagine you're on a horse, and you're a pretty big dude because you've been fighting all of your life in that armor, now imagine adding over a hundred pounds of weight on your body, then add multiple weapons to that. That horse is going to have to be massive in order to move at all.

Now imagine a dude in some leather with a bow and arrow who has been trained since birth to go on a horse, and would literally drink a horse blood-milk mixture (point being, they were pretty dependent on horses).

Go to the battlefield: knights can't charge on a horse for more than 20 minutes or so (no clue on actual distances) on a slow ass horse, the other guy, just rides away and shoots arrows.
