JFC. Just look at that. A huge screen, On a 60+ inch tv, and the text is literally squished and placed at the bottom. Barely readable from a meager 4 meter distance, since it's important to maintain a safe distance away from the tv instead of having your eyes glued to a screen just inches away.

All that space, and they couldn't have the text maybe match up with the widescreen display?

1. Your first example is from an rpg from the SNES generation. Were you playing an SNES action game that didn't pause while text scrolls, that would be way to big as it would block your view of the gameplay.

2. Aesthetically speaking, large dialogue in games meant to be a fluent visual experience (like RDR) would be ugly. Pragmatically speaking, it would affect gameplay.

3. When was the last time you saw an optometrist?

Depends on the state, and what one means by "of age".

While a majority of states have the AoC at 16 or 17, many also raise that to 18 when it's with people in an authority position, despite any evidence against coercion. Meaning a teacher would face criminal charges if they have sex with a legal 16/17 year old student, even if the student testifies in court that it was 100% consensual and even offers some form of evidence of the fact.

Yea but they both get charged and it's pretty socially acceptable. It's certainly not outrageous even when one man is much larger/stronger than the other.

Man has been fighting man for an eternity. If man was beating up a puppy, people would have an issue with it also. It still doesn't go unpunished, but it's so much more common that society is more desensitized.

Growing up, my dad taught me to never hit a woman under any circumstance. He also taught me to stand up for myself if another male was bullying me. There is a definitive divide. Women are to be respected, period. It's part of the long foundations of humanity.

No disagreements there. I just find it funny how it's fine to have social standards and expectations for men but women are being "oppressed" if they're ever expected to act a certain way.

They want to be equals, but in conditions like this, want to be treated otherwise. One of the many, many contradictions of what makes us stupidly human. I stopped trying to figure it out.

I thought it was common in America for bi-racial people to be shunned by both races they're a part of. We're pretty isolated from that culture in Hawai'i though, since most people are mixed race here.

Pretty sure most people could name about 20. I mean, counting Roman figures, all you'd need to do is name 8 planets. Throw in popular figures like Achilles, Apollo, Hercules, Icarus, Helen, Odysseus, Jason, Medusa, Odin, Thor, Loki, Cupid...that's already 20 and that's just common ones most people would know.

I mean, you've got 5 that I don't recognize or know the story behind up there (only read the basic myths, none of the long epics or more obscure ones), but I could still name at least 10-20 more without looking anything up.

I go into Target once a week in the morning. Every time, I'll check to see if they have some in stock.

According to the employees, they tend to get around 5 every 2-3 weeks.

Since launch, I've only seen them in stock twice. Bought mine about a month ago the first time I caught them in stock.
