I've been doing my own hardcore research into the housing market as well as tracking house prices on a micro level...aka i check realtor.com almost daily and monitor prices, inventory, etc in a specific city i want to move to, and pretty much everything he said is accurate.

House prices lag behind interest rates by a few months. Prices we see now are reflecting interest rates from a few months ago.

Housing is a large component of the inflation calculation. For inflation to come down, house prices must come down. If they don't then interest rates keep going up.

There's some other factors like the fact that everyone refinanced when rates were super low a year ago, so supply will be down. No one is gonna sell a house that they're paying 3% on and move to a new house where they'll have to pay 6%.

I agree, but the point was regarding "you aren't supposed to call the driver after delivery." I'm not saying the driver shouldn't be dinged. I'm saying there's literally no point in calling them

The difference is that, unlike a waitress, there's absolutely nothing the driver can do.

Is a food item missing? Most restaurants are tying or otherwise sealing their bags, and drivers are explicitly not allowed to open the bags to check them on pickup. It's meant to prevent tampering, theft, contamination, etc. Sucks, but other than reading the receipt there's basically nothing that the driver is allowed to do. They will get immediately deactivated if a customer reports their food bag was opened.

Wrong order? Sucks, and the driver should be dinged, but there's absolutely no point in sending the driver back to pick up an order that 1) was already marked as picked up on the restaurant's side, and thus thrown away, or 2) cold as hell in the best case.

Delivered to the wrong place? Again, shit move and the driver should be punished. But the driver isn't going to go back and get it. Especially since there's a decently hight chance whoever it was left with now has it, and probably won't just give it back. That's a potentially dangerous confrontation waiting to happen.

I get that it sucks, but after the delivery is done, there's basically nothing more a driver can or should do. It's down to the app's support to make it right. Unless you just want to yell at the driver. Which is exactly why they don't take communication after delivery.

Yeah I've learned to report anything missing even the smallest thing.
I ordered five guys before and all tbe burgers were pretty much wrong toppings or had no bacon or cheese when they were supposed to.
There was no options for no bacon, so i just said i never got the bacon cheeseburger like i ordered lol. No idea how they couldve gotten those so wrong.

In this case if it were to happen, did the person get their food and get a full refund from doordash? Maybe it was on purpose to get feee food lol

Basically, users will offer a $20+ tip. It rings through to the driver as a well paying offer, so it immediately gets snapped up. Then after it's delivered, the user has an hour to just zero out the tip and be on their way. And no, it's not for bad service, just scumbags being scumbags.

If I walk in a restaurant and the worker tells me straight up that they are still working on the order then I will put "still waiting at the restaurant" and the app will track that. However, it's pretty easy for me to get trolled by the restaurant and waste 5-10 minutes.
