Just wait until you have become a hardened Trekkie/Trekker like me and everyone else here and you will see that a lot of the episodes you have described as good are actually pretty horrible like Haven there for instance. There have been plenty of time where I thought an episode was good but then I either re-watched it or thought back in retrospect and realized that it was a horrible episode. Actually they do but it is based on a different type of Banana. When companies came up with Banan flavoured things the main cultivar at the time and the most imported and exported was a type called The Gros Michele. But in the 1950's Panama Disease which affects Banana plants almost wiped it out and in the 1960's Banana growers took to cultivating The Cavendish Banana which we all eat today. ST 6 is far far far superior than Encounter At Farpoint. If you are hell bent on starting TNG I must warn you that the first 2 seasons are pretty ropey to say the least. Season 2 was hit hard by The Writers Guild Of America strike in 1988. In my opinion the only decent season 1 episodes of TNG are: Where No One Has Gone Before Datalore Arsenal Of Freedom Conspiracy The rest are either mediocre or complete and utter trash. Around 65,000,000 years ago Pangea was going through a very violent break up which was causing massive earthquakes and super volcanoes and those volcanic eruptions was causing a lot of acid rain. So that acid rain was poisoning the plants which in turn was poisoning the plant eating Dinosaurs and the meat eating Dinosaurs were being poisoned by eating the dead bodies of the plant eating Dinosaurs. Then the Asteroid hit and that was just the final straw for them. They werent wiped out overnight there were survivors but with the tempertures on Earth dropping because of all the ash and soot in the atmosphere, being posoned by eating the plants and meat and eventually food becoming scarce that was the end for them. --- All your base are belong to us. Three episodes from the season (The Empath, Plato's Stepchildren and Whom Gods Destroy) were banned by the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) until 1994. They had received numerous complaints after showing the episode Miri and decided to look at Star Trek more closely and decided that the episodes had things they deemed inappropriate to broadcast. Meaning that we didn't get those episodes until they were either A. broadcast on Sky One (a satellite TV channel here in the UK) or B. They were released onto VHS in the early 1990's. I have to totally disagree with your assessment of a couple of episodes from Season 3. Spectre Of The Gun better than Elaan Of Troyius!? Er Nope! Meaning it leaves the question, Did Mars drop Treets for M&M's or did they run both products together for awhile before dropping Treets? My gut instinct tell me it would have been after they dropped Treets because it wouldn't make sense having two similar products. According to wikipedia in the late 1980's Mars were phasing out Treets. Chocolate Treets were replaced by Galaxy Minstrels, Toffee Treets became known as Relays before being dropped altogether and Peanut Treets were replaced by Peanut M&M's. Before that Mars UK made a product called Treets which were basically the same as M&M but without the coloured shells. Mars dropped them in 1988. I really miss them. @rexcrk The same thing happened in Britain when Blue Smarties were introduced. Europe had Blue Smarties for years before we got them in Britain. I have uBlock Origin, Ad Block, an ad blocker for Youtube, Sponsor Block for Youtube, Privacy Badger, ClearURL's and tampermonkey stuffed into Firefox. I can understand the annoyance for people who use their iPads/iPhones/consoles for Youtube/internet access. When my PC has screwed up I have used my Xbox One S for internet access and it was horrible having to plough through ads on sites.
