He's my 141/142 as well. There's something so frustrating about seeing an inherently obnoxious and arrogant person hold power for an entire season of television. Even if they lose in an assumedly humiliating fashion (see: Russell Hantz in Samoa), that doesn't make up for them being an obnoxious drain on the season as a whole. Plus, when he wasn't being a gossipy asshole and betraying far better characters every round, he was being the most try-hard cam-whore on a season of celebrity television. It sucked.

I'm assuming next up for you is Daniel, who would not be in my bottom four, but he still sucks.

Also, Kyle would be 139/142 for me, largely for the same reasons.

Yup. The racism stuff was bad, but it was so comparatively tame that it might not have been enough to rank Kyle lowest from this season. It's the racism AND the try-hard cam-whoring AND how much production loved him and insisted on giving him way more confessionals than he ever warranted AND America voting him top three for fan favorite.

The sad thing is that I thought about it and I'm actually torn between two options, both of whom were awful. Given that you hate Kyle though, I'm going to assume try-hards are more likely to be the worst, and predict Todrick.

Folded BB24 into my ranking (which includes Challenge USA), so I'm at 142 instead of 114.

Taylor Hale is the first person in 18 seasons (and only the second person overall) to win Big Brother without winning either part 1, or part 2 of the FHOH competition. This hasn't happened since Big Brother 6.

My God, the fact that she's sitting in the final 2 after those first several weeks of awful behavior is just amazing to me. They hated her for showing off her finale dress (that they ASKED her to model), and she's there, wearing it. Daniel shat on her and told her not to talk to him until finale night, and she's pre-jury, while she's in the finals. It's amazing.

Monte, PLEASE don't fuck this up. PLEASE evict Turner.

Hraalkar

Hraalkar is one of the more recent additions to the campaign, and hes essentially the alien equivalent to Pepper. He was a criminal on his home planet (or at least he engaged in actions that allowed criminals to flourish), but he also possessed the willpower needed to be considered for the Green Lantern Corps. As such, his sectors Green Lantern gave him an ultimatum: join the Corps, or go to jail. Basically, its the same story as Pepper, told from an alien perspectivebut the crime itself is different enough that there isnt complete overlap between the two characters, and that allows for a certain level of dynamic growth potential between thw two. Like Telok and Bluebird, the fact that Hraalkar is a scientist, or at least scientifically-minded (and uncomfortable with magic, but thats beside the point), gives him more of a unique feel that I appreciate.

At the moment, Ive only had the one scene with Hraalkar, but he definitely serves to give Pepper more of a connection to life on Oa. Admittedly, I have had a difficult time with the Oa side of the campaign, if only because its like an expansion pack on top of an already overwhelming abundance of content, which makes it harder to dip my toe in and establish new connections with characters and really build bonds. Plus, having so many of the NPCs hostile to humans is intimidating. Hraalkar isnt like that though; hes completely green (no pun intended) and nave to the world, so hes perfect as a friend for Pepper right now. I think with some more scenes together, and maybe with him meeting/interacting with a few other PCs (or my eventual goal of giving him time to make some Green Lantern friends and introduce Pepper to them), itll flesh out his character enough to secure a more solid spot on my list.

Also, to hearken back to my Teloktelar write-up, Pepper has some weird tastes. I mean, Brennus might get a teensy bit hot and bothered by just about any guy in the campaign with a cute face (shirtlessly is a plus), but Pepper has her own trigger. Partly because shes a Space Trek nerd and finds Beast Boy attractive, that kinda set her down a path of just finding appeal in all sorts of characters that most might consider gross or weird or monstrous. So Hraalkar, seven-foot-tall behemoth that is he, is at least a little bit physically attractive to Pepper, and his sweetheart personality has at least planted the seed of a schoolgirl crush in Pepper. Its nothing major YET; again, shes faithful to Half-Life (himself somewhat of a monstrous design), but still, nothing wrong with thinking a schlubby alien guy is cute.

Bluebird (Harper Row)

Weve met Bluebird twice now, on our two trips to Highland Park, and admittedly her limited screentime has hindered her placement in my overall estimation. Youll note from my 52 that I dont have a ton of session-specific characters, and those that DID make the list have either made three appearances or more as major players, were returning characters from Campaign 1, or in White Lightnings case, that was more making a point about Manchester. That being said, Bluebird still has a lot of potential, especially once we actually bring her back to Zonn Zorr and she can get in the RP rotation.

As I mentioned a lot on the main list (especially towards the end, which is important when you consider that almost half of my top twelve were teenagers), I tend to be drawn towards the youth characters in this media, because that element of being rough around the edges and dealing with establishing yourself makes for more interesting stories for me. In Bluebirds case, shes a massive Ted Kord (the original Blue Beetle) fangirl, and shes going to college for engineering in part to emulate him, but on top of being a fledgling superhero (more in the vein of a vigilante than a metahuman), she has her little brother than she needs to look after, giving her that human connection to soften her otherwise punk aesthetic.

Bluebird being a scientist makes her immediately intriguing to me, because that would honestly stand out around Zonn Zorr. As much as I love Alice/Freddy/Jaime, even from the early days, there was a certain level of distance between them and Pepper, because all three of them were considered part of the Eighth Age of Magic. There are times when Pepper feels like a third wheel, or like her relationships are forced with them, and theyd be better off connecting with Brennus or Saoirse as a result. And yes, there are other scientists around Zonn Zorr, but theyre far more experienced than Pepper, which often makes them more intimidating to interact with, because I, as Inviso, feel completely out of my depth. Bluebird being around Zonn Zorr would probably help bridge that gap and give Pepper a friend thats more her equal, rather than an opposite, or a superior.

With his addition to Peppers Society infiltration task force under the guise of Ringo Starr, Teloktelar gets a decent boost in my overall rankings. Said task force has already garnered three members of my top 52, and two of those made my top 15. But Peppers relationship with Telok is still relatively fresh, so he doesnt quite measure up to some of the other characters on the list quite yet. Now, since this is just an honorable mention write-up, Im not going to go into HUGE detail here (I say, before inevitably writing a page and a half), but Telok was part of the Green Martian contingent that we brought back to Zonn Zorr, and even before he joined the task force, he was identified as the scientist among the group. Had he not given a specific cause for Pepper to talk to him, she would have sought him out eventually.

The one conversation Telok and Pepper have had thus far was a good one though, with them kinda sharing that scientific mindset, and Pepper being too fascinated with extraterrestrial life to have any biases or preconceived notions about the Martian race. As a result, I THINK Pepper is the only person who wasnt initially ON the mission to rescue the Martians that has been made aware that theyre all secretly White Martians masquerading as the safer Green Martian variety. Pepper doesnt care; this all came about because she was confused at how the Green Lantern Corps could hold a grudge against the Martians for actions millions of years old, and Telok appreciated that and revealed his true self.

As a final sidenote, since Ive already made people uncomfortable by lusting after Cheetah, might as well double down here. But there are constantly jokes about awakening something in Vis in the campaign. Yeah, thatkinda happened here too. >_>;; After revealing his true form, Pepper was cool with it and offered a human handshake as a sign of friendship. Telok returned the favor by shapeshifting his own hand and subsuming Peppers arm within his unyielding grasp. It was just such an intimate move, and I want to point out that Green Telok is eyepatch warrior sexy, while White Telok is Turian sexy. If Pepper wasnt such a dork (and wasnt already dating Half-Life), she probably wouldve tried an extremely bad pick-up line of If youre ever looking to further your scientific studies of human anatomy, let me know.

So yeah, well have to see where things go with Telok, but I think he could be a fun addition to Peppers growing circle of potential RP friends around Zonn Zorr.

I thought she was dead come final seven, and it would be contest XVIII all over again, yet for whatever reason, she kept scraping by to make it all the way to third place. I'm more than happy with that.

We had to find Riddler Trophies to get access to Riddler's territory. When we got the riddle to the next one, we pretty quickly went 'oh, the building that Vicki Vale is using as the Gazette!' and went there. Up until that point, the Trophies had been on top of buildings or outside so we scoured around, found nothing and decided we must have been wrong.

Way later after many more failed attempts we called in Chimp and he instantly pointed us to the Vicki Vale's building again. We tried to protest but he was firm and we went and knocked on the door and asked Vicki about it and she just handed us the trophy... oops.

Meanwhile, our team just bought a security access card from the auction house and got it without incident. >_>;;

Well, that sucks for the first boot. Two for two people I would've rather seen stick around.

So the Survivor premiere was...on the one hand, it felt like everyone got the chance to be on-screen, but it also felt like no one stood out except Mike, Sami, Cody and Karla. Like, Morriah vs. Owen was such a "So?" boot choice.

Despite the meme, Squall is probably the hottest guy in the FF franchise.

This moment was actually pretty humbling for Alice for a while. I mean, she had back-to-back failures, first with her courtship of Brennus, and then with who she assumed was God at the time smacking her down OLD Testament-style. She wound up in the hospital for a while, largely wallowing in self-pity, and Pepper did her best to comfort her friend (even making her a black friendship bracelet, because Pepper is nothing except awful at reading the room). Still, I think this moment definitely changed Alices attitude in general. She still has that kind of carefree mentality that leads to her doing and saying chaotic things on occasion, but I almost feel like she needed SOMEONE to step in and set boundaries for her, so shed realize she wasnt the only person around who mattered to the resistance.

Since then, Alice has mellowed with regards to Brennus (though she did seek him out and punch him in the face after practicing punches to the face in preparation for this moment). She and Pepper regularly sit around and smoke pot together and just trying to chill out in the face of the unimaginable evils of the world. Alice has started getting mentored by Nightshade in the Oblivion Bar, yet despite Nightshade taking a FAR more morally gray attitude towards murder (actively pushing Alice towards helping her in her crusade against all beings empowered by the shadows), Alice isnt entirely comfortable with that. Its important to note that early on, Alice was very much cool with killing, and thinking that restraint against killing was cowardly and stupid. Yet shes kind of turned around in that regard, now that shes actually faced something real and solid. Alice is growing up in a way.

That being said, Alice is still great for comic relief when the need arises. The fact that she can transform into various magical entities has been played for laughs quite often. Now, she has a strange tendency to get bashed on the head and suffer concussions (not unlike Peppers recent habit of breaking her nosewhich has happened as a result of Alice getting a concussion, actually). This has a tendency to get Alice swapped into the mind of another mage around Oblivion, which often has hilarious consequences. Alice pretending to be Constantine, just to piss him off, is wonderful. Popping off a fake British accent (a woman after Biohazards own heart) is always a good way to annoy the man who often comes across as above it all. Of course, this always worries Pepper, because she doesnt want her friends getting hurt, and Alice doesnt like being babied, so we get instances of Alice revealing that perhaps shes not as concussed as she seems, then tapping into Etrigan or Blue Devil just to make a point.

Most recently, unrelated to any sort of concussion, Alice started tapping into new people, first Ragman to trick Brennus, but then Madame Xanadu for an AMAZING scene with Lush. Alice has always been at least a little annoyed with Lush, largely due to Peppers early annoyance with Lush and Alice picking up on thatand the end result is her just fucking around. Not only do we get the hilarity of Alice complaining about her eyeballs being missing (I~ Cant~ See~ Shit), but then she does a tarot reading and calls out Lush for stabbing Jaime/being a psycho, calls Constantine an old pervert, and complains about Lush/Saoirses lesbian shit, and ended the reading by saying Lush needed to punch Brennus in the face to protect her future. The whole thing was amazing.

Those last few paragraphs are actually what make this write-up so hard for me, because Alice just has SO many things going on with her character, and so much of what makes her amazing is these little one-off scenes, and her interactions with large numbers of the cast. It doesnt lend itself well to a straight-forward, flowing write-up. Sometimes you have Alice dealing with the magical aspect of the campaign via Saoirse, or via Nightshade, or via Brennus. And sometimes you have the teenaged girl drama via Pepper or Brennus or Freddy. And sometimes shes just cute, like when shes playing with Rover and affectionately calling him a dumbass.

Recently though, Alice has been getting more serious about her role in the campaign, so I guess that focuses the write-up a bit towards the ending. Teaming with Nightshade has been a good training partner choice, because it helps Alice focus, but I think its also shown her what her personal limits are for what she is, or is not willing to do. Shes recently been assigned to the Tokyo field team as part of Tracis Machiavellian machinations, and she made it back in one piece; I havent had the chance to talk to her about it yet, because theres SO MUCH to do in the campaign. But she also recently joined us on a mission to Badhnesia, where she tapped into Freddys Captain Marvel powers and fought alongside him in fending off the Spectre long enough to keep Badhnesias protector gods alive while we fought our way through the fifth dimension. Alice remains a badass, even if shes maturing as the campaign goes along.

Finally, I want to end this write-up to touching very briefly on what I mentioned in Freddys write-up: I am 100% onboard with my Freddy x Alice ship. I think they complement each others personalities extremely well, and its just cute to see them working together. They clearly have such different life experiences, yet as the campaign goes along, these are two characters you would never expect to team upyet they keep getting closer. Fighting back-to-back in Badhnesia, sitting in the library, studying together, and even within the past week, we had a moment of Brennus being crushed by the discovery that his mother was a Prime Fury operating directly under Desaad. He went to Freddy for support, sure, but Freddy called for Alice to join them, effectively cockblocking any efforts Brennus might make. Wish Pepper had been invited toobut thats neither here nor there. It just comes back to Alice being her best self around Freddy, and Freddy loosens up around her. Its just a cute little shipping couple, thats all. And thats just another aspect of what makes Alice such an entertaining character, Peppers best friend in the campaign, and the number one character on my ranking.
