Our theater has 14 screens, and I was disappointed to see it dropped into our smallest auditorium after a double-whammy of Sonic then Fantastic Beasts taking up the majority of our screens. On the plus side,

1. It's still showing at least three times a day unlike other selections that are either gone completely or moved to once-a-day (Uncharted, CODA).

2. Yesterday was absolutely dead. Even Sonic was not bringing in the kids on Easter. However, EEAaO almost sold out its evening showing which is a very healthy sign. It should survive through The Bad Guys & Cage's Massive Talent, and might even manage to survive Dr. Strange's release for a week or two!

Uncharted, Morbius, Ambulance, The Batman, and possibly even The Lost City could fold before Everything if word-of-mouth keeps it afloat.

Best: The Winds of Winter

I forgot how insanely good the season 6 finale was and what it meant for the endgame. Everything was converging and characters long-gone from central locations (Arya, Dany, Tyrion, Jon) were on their way back. It sucks that momentum didn't continue that well into the next two seasons, but after two or three seasons of plodding plots and disappointing changes, this was anazing. Also considered, Baelor, Hardhome, and The Rains od Castamere.

Worst: Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken

Season 8 as a whole tanked the series, and Beyond the Wall is such a stupid episode, but this was just... guh. Jaime and Bronn in Dorne is the most nothing story; Arya in the Hall of Faces was duller than it should have rightly been; and Sansa. Uggggh. That whole thing with Ramsay.

Man, I miss changing sigs. Or there was that time/choice where you had a cycle of different sigs it would post with.

Both Turbo and In Space have very tough early periods. They are worth watching after a certain point, but it can be very tough to get there.

Oddly enough, Zeo I feel has the opposite problem where it starts off fairly strong and then gets tougher to continue towards the end.

Any thoughts or new observations or favorite characters/villains/fights/moments/Bulk & Skull hijinks during your rewatch of MMPR?

For me, I have an extremely bad habit of getting incredibly far into a game then giving up towards the end, sometimes for the weird reason of not wanting the journey to end (when leaving the game and not coming back effectively ends the journey anyway).

It's frustrating to know you're near the point of no return, but could still do limited/endless amounts of side stuff before you complete just because it's still there. Or missing something late in the game and needing to shelve the fame for a while so you forget why you were reticent about finishing (helped me immensely with some Trails games... every entry until Cold Steel II I had to put down for about a year before I could finish. Then I would new game plus, enjoy the hell out of it, get all the missables, go on a final date with everyone, etc. and beat anew before moving on to next entry).

I used the Video Game Challenge to clear a lot of backlog (including finally finishing Secret of the Stars and Terranigma after 20 years), but haven't had any categorical motivation. It helped a ton when my backlog was bigger and more varied. And also full of games I had lots of fun playing as opposed to games that... are still backlogged for a reason. Or are survival/open world/farm sim games (Subnautica, Core Keeper, My Time at Portia) that... too much to do and see, no time to try and beat.

Storybook Brawl

Why? No idea, but it helps ease out an hour or two of gaming and allows me to keep up with discord chats or conversations. It likes crashing on me when I play videos, so it's not as good as past games I used less-to-play and more to listen to podcasts or Critical Role.

Its pretty good overall but I gotta take points off for the incredible amount of flanderization of the characters. Much more so than Arena did, even. But the actual plot is pretty decent.

This, but as a 6. I found it hard to invest sometimes.

I can't at the moment think of a worse episode than "Where the Wild Things Are." Partly because I do enjoy some parts of "I Robot, You Jane" and "Bad Eggs" and give some leeway to early episode growing pains. I thought about "Wild at Heart" because it left some wreckage, but "Something Blue" and "New Moon Rising" were great follow-ups and the opening to "Wild at Heart" is absolutely hilarious and one of the top Buffy cold opens. Then with seasons 5, 6, and 7... nothing really stands out as worse than others. There are some bad streaks of episodes for sure, but nothing discerning enough to single them as outliers. "Wild at Heart" is a terrible episode sandwiched between two great ones and there's little to no progress on the Initiative/Adam/Riley story, and the relationship stuff is done better in other episodes. Even worse, the amazing scene of the gang finding Giles singing at a cafe is stuck in the middle and cannot be enjoyed in another episode.

As for best....

Much, much more difficult. "Passion," "The Wish," "Graduation Day Part II," "Hush," "Restless," "The Body," "The Gift," "Once More With Feeling," "Chosen..."

I've watched "Passion" the most of any.
I've related to "Graduation Part II" the most.
"The Body" is the episode I reflect on most.
"Once More With Feeling" is all earworms.
"The Gift" is the culmination of the series, before life and before the end game. It's the best of the finales, it pays off so many moments and so many characters and so many stories from the past few years. It's beautiful. If Buffy didn't continue (outside characters showing up in Angel or other possible spinoffs), this would be a wonderful ending. I'm glad it wasn't. I can argue others being better in some respects, but "The Gift" harnesses the magic of the show in full.

Also, been binging MistareFusion's 'DragonBall Dissection' series and it's been an excellent look at and analysis of the manga, as well as various movies as they happened and much quicker anime saga breakdowns. It's like getting a really good cliffnotes of the series and enjoying them in a different way without having to sit through hours and hours of episodes again

End of Cell Saga. They also did movies up through Broly (and all their takes are better than the actual movies themselves, espically Lord Slug and The World's Strongest) and think they got burnt out trying to make Bojack work and that's when everything ended. They've also done a bunch of Top 12/24 lists, some of their own stuff (again, Home For Infinite Losers with Cell in the afterlife), and TFS gaming was really good for a while but haven't checked out in a long time (Dumpling in Xenoverse! Tien vs. Super Buu!)

Stressing out. My whole back is on fire from anxiety.

I tried LARPing a few years ago and met some cool people and had good times, but I constantly got down on myself and was never able to fully commit or make a bigger effort because I would just lock up further from any disappointment or mistake. I was getting ready to try again and be more proactive (buying new gear, making a character who wasn't literally named 'No one,' and trying to be a more fun bean... who was a dwarfish race worshipping an evil sea god in the times before said sea god wiped out his tace... more pleasant. Right...) when Covid happened. So, I have about 500 dollars worth of stuff in a box in my room Ive touched maybe twice in to years that I can't really even look at without shutting down, and havent thought about in months.

A larp friend and only one i visited outside game/postgame with no prior relationship started poking me again on facebook three or four days ago. Nothing major. We have poke wars, they flare up every few months.

A friend whose been flirting with me (and I'm too unsure and flattered and confused and off on my own in the safety of not driving anywhere and not living close) mentioned the game starting back up next month and he hoped I would come, and I had a major freeze up when it was mentioned.

And Facebook scrolling today, a discord invite popped up in my feed, posting generally only minutes before. So of course I see sogns heralding me this way and join a link I yeeted from stress a year ago, and didn't follow once the Slack/message boards went away further back than that.

So I am... just venting mostly, trying to get my mind out of a drowning spiral of failure and existential awareness.

The people and the game are great. They're an amazing community. I love a lot of them.

I just know I don't belong, and detract through my very presence.

Note: Joined the server about an hour ago, stressed through my lunch break, glad no one noticed me and haven't made any attempts to be noticed. Both heartwarming and bloodchilling watching an active chatter going on.

I think Final Fantasy VII. I know I got far enough to be able to fight Weapons, but I think I got super disillusioned with Final Fantasy superbosses and the need to grind forever for post-endgame stuff (hi FFX! I really just want to see that last theater sphere! No, I do not want to fight your super Valefor, I just want to go in the city. No, I do not want to grind for another ten hours to be close to beating it and the others. You know what, I'd rather go play FFX-2 and just catch monsters. At least levelling them up lets me see some fun theatre orb-like stuff.).

- FFVII is definitely one

- I don't know if I actually finished Kingdom Hearts II? I think I moved on from grinding Final Form levels to grab the last puzzle piece or two and just never went back.

- I've only beaten Harvest Moon 64 on my first file ever, and I still remember how lonely a party myself and Maria had. I had at least seven-plus files that went deep in, but either because the greenhouse made days drag on and money not an issue, marriage made talking to people and visiting the bar at night boring (the dialogue just keeps repeating, and the bar is now empty), or a combination of that and hsving done everything, I never finished Spring 3 again.

- Terraria, Stardew Valley, and My Time at Portia are other like games that I've gotten super far and put over 100 hours into, but stop before the finish line.

- Not at all the best game, but the amount of times I've gotten so far into Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage only to move on before finishing is... aggravating in hindsight.

Oh! OH! I just remembered an actual failure!

Me and this kid I was babysitting were playing Sonic 2 and got to I think the final boss. We died, but still had a continue. And my Nintendo-playing ass who was too excited to read pressed A. For accept. Like you would normally do on a Nintendo controller.

We didn't continue. Because A was no or cancel.
