I have been playing a lot more Multiversus than Smash recently though, that game is so fun.

I hate when I SD a lot. Its like my one tell that I am playing sort of bad.

I thought everyone knew this... I know I did (LOL), which is why I don't buy their overpriced BS that has multiple alternative company products that does the same exact function and more. But celebrities endorse iPhone, etc., so people think it's cool to buy them. LOL... The moral of the story, research, think for yourself and make an informed decision.

I went to Encore with my girlfriend for their weekly, had a good time. We both went 1-2 in the main tournament, and in the redemption she went 2-2 and I went 3-2 (I eliminated her). All the matches I lost badly were against players whose characters I have little to no experience against, besides the fact that they were just way better than me. I got 2 stocked twice by a Snake, 3 stocked twice by a PT, then 2 and 3 stocked by a Diddy. It would be nice to get match up experience online, but besides the fact that my connection is terrible right now, players that good are few and far between (most are really bad in comparison). I also lost against a Pyra/Mythra but it was close, I feel like that character is more intuitive to play against anyway even though they're busted.

Anyway I was proud of my girlfriend for doing so well for her first time, she beat three people after all. I was witness to a couple of them, one of them a Falco player who was impressed and wanted to play more, and a ROB player who was salty and didn't even say ggs or fist bump lol.

Also when we play now it's usually pretty even, so I was honestly afraid I would lose to her

im a toolmaker by the way I work in silicone and plastic tooling.

Here are some questions you should answer (to yourself) that will help you make a good decision:
1. What is the cost of living/salary ratio between both options?
2. Are you willing to relocate to a different place? Knowing new cities is actually a plus for some people but others might want to stay put if it might impact your family for example.
3. Is anyone else impacted by your decison? E.g. wife, kids. If so, what do they think?
4. What are your career goals? Do you want to grow or are you fine doing whatever? Which options provides more room for growth, assuming you want that.
5. How important is work life balance at this point in life for you? Regardless of the new company having more workload, joining a new team is its own effort.
6. How open would your existing company be to welcome you back in case you dont like the new one? Would you be willing to relocate back to your current area if the new job doesnt work out?

Overall it is about taking risks depending on what you want. You can decide to take a risk and try it out, see if you like it (assuming no family, you dont mind the hassle of a temporal relocation and you can get your job back if the plan fails). If the risk is too much or the effort to try out the new option is too high for you, then you could consider staying at your current position.

What part of west coast. If your salary offer is less then ideal it's probably not going to help if you have to move to a high cost of living area. That'd be a big risk just to hope it provides better opportunity in the future

Is the new company already public? If so, then stock rewards are definitely a lot more valuable. If it were me I would take the new job, as long as you don't mind moving and leaving any friends/family behind, I kind of like having more work and responsibility.

I have heard tech has been getting slammed recently though, lots of layoffs, might be good to evaluate which company and job is more stable.

You know I've been there a few times for Melee, actually. I played Melee and Ultimate there once in fact which was not easy, pretty sure I did well in neither game. It may be the best place to go to though, they were getting quite a few people for Ultimate back then and their tourneys are on Monday and Thursday, the days before and after my days off. So I can request those days and have a 3 to 4 day weekend.

I looked on start.gg but didn't see anything appealing. Looking for a discord for Westchester but idk if it's just me or if it's really dead around here

I'm trying hard to find a tournament around me that's convenient to go to, my girlfriend has got a lot better and I'd really like to take her. We're always off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays though and nothing seems to be going on. Might have to take off a weekend
