Sorry, I wasn't even trying to relitigate for the millionth and one time. Hillary still won handily except for in three states she needed to. And even if Hillary won that election, we would still basically be waiting for one bad turn of luck where Republicans got the chance to do what they did anyway.

Scalia to Garland and RBG to literally anyone not Amy and all these cases are 5-4 "not evil" options.

The only sliver of silver lining here is that all these aCtiViSt JuDgeS have now shown there is precedent to say "fuck precedent" so if the democrats ever regain control of the supreme court (lol) they can just do the same thing and reverse things immediately again for all the bad decisions over the past 15 years. Although I have no confidence that'll happen.

I finally finished the movie I did not want to re-watch last night! My opinions weren't changed much, but the good news is all the other ones I have to re-watch I had better opinions of so I'm hoping it's all uphill from here.

Ok so. Bad news is Ulti and I did not have the same count as of the time we last checked in.

I'm out with friends at the moment and I cannot do a full recount or get the final results topic up for a little bit here.

I know I was basically the least reliable host by far, dragging out 100 days for like six months since I can't really do anything over the weekends. I find it funny that the couple of people I know in real life who like Garfield the most are younger people who grew up with Garfield as their spiderman (a little too young to be around when the first set of movies came out). So Garfield is THEIR nostalgia Spiderman. They don't see that though, but are more than willing to throw nostalgia dirt at us McGuire fans. Not a blanket statement of course, and people are free to like whichever Spiderman they prefer, but the nostalgia Toby hate from some of the Garfield fans often comes across as hypocritical to me.

I'm of the Tobey appropriate age! I don't hate Tobey, but I've seen like 50 times in this topic people saying something along the lines of "Garfield is a bad/the worst Peter" and I don't think that's fair. I re-watched the Tobey movies not that long ago and Tobey just hasn't held up all that well for me. 1/2 are carried mostly by Dafoe/Molina imo, and with Spidey 3 being as bad as it is, I'm not even necessarily sure the original trilogy is really all that much better than the Garfield movies.

You can see this in No Way Home, too, where Garfield is such a better actor than Tobey and it shows almost immediately. IMO of course.

Embrace the superior Spider-Man. JOIN US.

Yeah I definitely agree with that. Not sure how common that line of thinking is, but 3>1>>2. I didn't even hate 2 though, it just had a chunk that really dragged for me.

Wow, it's a beautiful thing where your main somehow survives whatever side project it is that you're pushing. I'm much more used to the "oh shoot I accidentally killed my main by keeping this going one round too wrong" result!

Big congrats to Ermine and red who got Rocket here through sheer force of will! Some things fell just right to help get him through to the finals (and he's going to likely get doubled), but really nice work from what was basically a core of just two people for the longest time. Am I alone in not hating Garfield as Peter? I always thought more along the lines of "good Peter, great Spidey, bad movies" (although honestly I though ASM1 was good - it's just ASM2 that's straight up trash).
