Unlike the US, you don't vote for a prime minister (or President). You vote for someone to represent your constituency in Parliament. The leader of the party with the most seats in Parliament will go to the Queen and be asked to form a government. This is why when one PM stands down, its up to the party to pick their new leader (and new PM by extension). You don't need to call a general election.

The Parliamentary Conservatives ran a leadership contest and narrowed it down to two candidates. Conservative party members then vote on these two. The reason Truss won was because the right wing press see her as a way to carry on a the Boris Legacy - and her rival wasn't white.

It's not like that at all. It's just Truss is so out of her depth as Prime Minister. She's basically a child putting on her best Thatcher impression. She's totally lacking in charisma.

The closest thing to Trump and his cult would be electing Boris Johnson but he's gone (for now).

Hilarious. We were wondering ever since the first trailers when Sins of the Father was going to play, such an epic track...and then it plays while Snake and Skullface stare at each other in a jeep.

By far the worst mainline Metal Gear game, it's a shame too because Ground Zeroes set up our expectations so high. I imagined a full game full of well designed bases like Camp Omega, but instead we got two barren open worlds with repetitive missions, a story that's barely there and an unfinished ending.

Also having to replay the first mission twice is infuriating, as all you do is move slowly through some corridors - especially as nothing changes on the 2nd time through apart from the cutscene at the end.

I saw Donald Trump at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didnt want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

I was taken aback, and all I could say was Huh? but he kept cutting me off and going huh? huh? huh? and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like Sir, you need to pay for those first. At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually to prevent any electrical infetterence, and then turned around and winked at me. I dont even think thats a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Starmer and Rayner have been cleared of breaching rules, so they won't be quitting any time soon. That'll embolden them further for a No Confidence vote, I'd imagine.

No doubt the Daily Mail editor will accuse the police and Labour of being in cohoots and undermining "our brave Boris"

IMHO there's nobody particularly obvious. Priti Patel? Jacob Rees-Mogg?

Names being thrown around are Rishi Sunak, Sajid Javid, Jeremy Hunt, Ben Wallace and Liz Truss.

Jeremy Hunt and Ben Wallace are probably the two "best" picks in my eyes.

He's not part of Labour any more. Starmer kicked him out. He sits as an independent. Corbyn should have resigned before 2019, he's the reason we got Boris as PM.
