Finished a couple times, but not the fourth act. Haven't won the fourth act a single time with any character. As soon as I unlock the final thing with Watcher, I'll start cycling through the classes instead. Getting a little tired of Watcher now.

Problem is that Turkey is a lot more important for NATO (read: the US) than Sweden and Finland are, so steps won't be taken. At the expense of Kurds

It's all good, it's a sensitive issue. I appreciate the apology, but I also see how I could come off as "playing down" Russia's guilt.

Of course I outright condemn what Putin is doing. In no way am I trying to justify the atrocities committed there. I'm saying that he's fanning the flames of, and capitalizing on, a domestic conflict in Ukraine. And there are Nazis on both sides of that conflict. The Azov battalion has been doing bad things, but that's quite obviously not a defense of any of the shit Putin is doing. "War is war" means that in the end civilians suffer no matter what.

That was pretty unfortunate since beneath the Russia thing there's a legitimate civil conflict where the Russian minority in Ukraine were (and are) treated pretty poorly. Their rights were getting removed etc. So sending Ukrainian Nazis to fight wasn't exactly great for the Russian minority civilians.

Ukraine does have Nazis. So does Russia. And lots of other countries. But yeah Putin has been using Nazis in Ukraine as a pretext, and definitely exaggerated their numbers and influence.

The OT as well. Lucas has been pretty open about the conflict in the OT being inspired by the Vietnam war, with the Empire being the US and the Rebels being the Vietnamese.

Love poison builds. Corpse explosion is like, one of the best cards in the game for me so far.

I play it off and on, I never really got good at it. A few hundred hours, came within like 30 health of beating the 3rd area a few times but never got it. Also have not unlocked the 4th character. I still love the game, regardless. I can't quit it, I go back a lot.

Check out Roguebook if you haven't, it's similar with some different mechanics, I bought it recently wanting a StS kind of game, and was happy with it.

Imma check out Roguebook and Monster Train eventually, but I'll stick with StS for a while first.

About general tips, I saw a reddit guide that had some interesting ideas:

• In act 1, always pick frontloaded damage over future synergies.
• In act 2, pick aoe.
• In act 3, you can worry about getting the synergies, card manipulation, etc.

Of course it is very general advice but I find it pretty nice to at least have a vague strategy to lean on.

About Defect, I love getting like that echo power and creative AI, but that's a very slow deck. It's good for bosses and elites, but takes a bit long in regular fights, so you might want the rest of the deck to compensate for that.

Bump. I thought CE really liked StS.

I started playing this game again. I'm pretty much a noob, last time I played there wasn't the fourth class, and I don't think I even reached the fourth boss (no ascension).

So far I've unlocked everything from the first three classes, moving on to the fourth now. Got any tips for me CE? I'm pretty bad at the game still, trying to figure out what cards and synergies to look for. Fave so far is probably Defect. I like his quirky orb mechanic a lot, and there seems to be several fun ways to snowball out of control.

Compasses like this try to show where your opinions would fall if we took each party at their word for everything, and gave them the most generous interpretation. It's not surprising that your opinions are pretty liberal but that you'd still not consider touching the Liberal party. Same with me - on environmental issues I'm pretty aligned with MP's stated platform, but I have no confidence that they 1. actually believe in it themselves and 2. are competent enough to implement it.
Quite naturally, the parties as they are in real life are different from their idealized forms in a compass!

Surely that's a pretty weak consolidation for Kakabaveh. Anyway I'm not suggesting that her opposition to Turkey is motivated solely by this diplomat - the point was to illustrate that the Turkish threat towards Kurds, both in Rojava and in Sweden, is very real and it should be easy to understand that she would use whatever influence she has to work against it. And while I don't expect her to get enough support to stay in Parliament as an independent, I could well imagine that this opposition actually makes her more popular.

Well hasn't he generally been upping the rhetoric and decisions to match the right's calls for tuffare tag and so on? Like, I know he's pretty despised from the left for this. S are essentially playing along with the right's fear mongering. He took a hard stance on immigration when he was the minister of that as well. Generally speaking he's from the central party establishment that is a lot more right leaning social liberals than the workers movement grassroots.

What's really wild imo is that Johansson is a very right wing SocDem, and has been essentially doing a lot of things that the right should like, and would do themselves if they had power. Still they're gonna do a vote of no confidence. It's like last year when C and L complained a lot, despite the govt essentially having implemented their platform for them.

There is something to be said for SD's insistent votes of no confidence. Since they got into Parliament, they've been doing these things like ten times more often than normal. One way to view this is that they're abusing the system for optics. Another is that the rest of Parliament haven't been using the option enough. My guess is that the "truth" here is somewhere in the middle.

I don't really buy that going into hyperspace is light speed in the first place. Maybe I'm just not remembering a place where they said it was? Even with light speed, it would take centuries to travel between planets. So hyperspace needs to be different, like a different spatial dimension where distances are shorter.

And JJ already needed with hyperspace/distances plenty in TFA. Not only did Starkiller base shoot its shot between solar systems without any apparent hyperspace travel (they even watched the shot and another solar system blow up like it was a moon to the backwater planet they were on), but them Han Solo just traveled straight through the shields just by feeling, setting the bar for dumb things you can do with hyperspace travel. The Holdo maneuver is a pretty natural step after that.

Nah it was fun. It made you think when fighting and it really effected the enemies as well, so if you wanted you could make certain fights hilariously in your favor. Like banning Fire during the fire crystal fight.

Might have been more fun if the pace was higher or if there was a more constant visualization reminding the player of the current laws. As it was now, imo it was too easy to just forget and then it felt really bad to get punished.
