Finished Bayonetta 2

still have to replay (again) for unlockables. I got all the muspelheim portals this time, but I'm still missing some verses/journals/crows and like 3 witch hearts. also have to replay chapter 13 for a gold ranking so I can get the unlockable for all gold trophies since I only got a silver replaying it.

It's kind of funny how much easier it is than the first game. Like ok I haven't unlocked nsic but it feels like I'd probably have to put it on that difficulty to get roughly the same experience as playing the original on normal.

Although being easier isn't necessarily a bad thing since there was a lot of dumb stuff like the instant kill qtes to tank your rankings and I vaguely remember stuff like the motorcycle and space harrier sequences annoying me because they outstayed their welcome.

also I ended up starting a new file in Paper mario even though I probably shouldn't since I already beat it, yet I haven't finished Superstar Saga and haven't started TTYD, BIS, Dream Team, or OK and have yet to buy PIT, CS, or PJ. >_>

beat the first chapter again last night. dunno if I'd finish before the end of the month though.

dunno if I'd play regularly but it wouldn't hurt to have some friend codes.

I would probably mostly just be interested in playing a few rounds in vs. mode in nes/snes puzzle games, something relatively low time commitment.

Finished up chapter 12 in kniferella last night, so I'm approaching the home stretch.

also started up oddworld, though I stopped a bit short of clearing the second area.

I originally wasn't planning on doing anything, but I ended up going back to kniferella a bit to clean up some of the collectibles I missed. On chapter 9 right now.

also I didn't realize that the Oddworld remake was given away on PS+ at some point (I had only remembered that the original was given away free), so I might try to start that this weekend.

didn't know that the manga for Record of a Yokohama Shopping Trip got licensed.

Eh if you don't like classic SMT or Persona 1, there's a good chance that you wouldn't like Soul Hackers since it's more similar to those than modern (post Nocturne) SMT. Though, it's also probably liked more than If or Persona 1.

technically it's kind of a sequel to Devil Summoner (original, not the Raidou one), but it's not really important in the long run I think it just has some cameos from the characters in the vision quest segments (where you play as other characters briefly).

It leans into the cyberpunk a little more than other smt, since it takes place in a planned community for employees for some shifty technology corporation which has its own wacky 90s interpretation of the internet/virtual reality.

gameplay wise it's more like classic smt, although it's fairly easy for the most part (one version of the final boss isn't really able to even hurt you if you have Tetrakarn) since the reputation for difficulty really only started with Nocturne. There's a resource called Magnetite you have to buy and use each battle to summon the demons in your party, but it's not scarce/expensive enough to really be worth much consideration on conserving it.

actually I think most of the aniplex stuff is discounted - 30 dollars off of the big box sets and 10 off of smaller sets like each part for Owarimonogatari or Kizumonogatari (which would make it 30 dollars off the whole thing).
