In my opinion, the series gets better over time where V3 is the best and 1 is the worst (V3 is the game, 3 is the anime). The general consensus seems to be that 1 is the worst while 2 and V3 fight for the top spot and it's pretty split, but 1 is still a great game, so it only goes up from here. the anime is dogshit.
