depends on the type of bomb. the ones used in japan left fallout because a good chunk of the fuel wasn't actually reacted, so it got blown up into a dust that went far and wide. most "modern day" nukes dont really have unreacted fuel, kind of runs counter to making a big bomb; though there is always the possibility of a salted nuke, essentially a big bomb with added nuclear material designed not to react in the explosion and turn into huge amounts of fallout. they're salted as in "salting the earth", leaving things like radioactive cobalt in the soil and water for years/decades/centuries.

because its kind of a mess on PC, i've got a pretty strong one and it has continuous freezes with a bullshit anti-cheat that makes it impossible to implement mods that fix frame rate or DoF. thinking of refunding it at this point, its clear fromsoft knows shit about optimizing PC games.

i've got an adopted cousin who was in the russian military about a decade ago, their forces are mostly made up of impoverished young men ~17 years old. you dont really have a choice to join, its either that or starve. at this point its either starve or get shot.

because most predators run a huge risk with every attempt they take at grabbing food. all that needs to happen for something like a big cat to starve is for them to break some teeth or take a debilitating wound, then they cant hunt and they end up starving. hunting predators, things that can fight back much harder then your average gazelle, is just too high risk.

at the same time reviews are also saying the game contains the hardest boss battles of any fromsoftware game so there is that.

yeah the general idea i've gotten from watching a few reviews is that its much easier to overlevel in this game due to its open nature, so you can jump around and come back later to curb stomp bosses or you can follow the obvious path and struggle like normal.

if they want to enlist me then we're losing badly, my eyesight is bad enough i'd end up shooting someone on my side...

fun addon to that point, everything the military owns is built not to minimize cost but to maximize the spread of work among all the states. every contract for a new jet or some special gear is designed not to serve the best purpose in the military, but to pad the pockets of some asshole senator's constituates; its why you'll see projects like the F-35 continued even though everyone in military command calls it a waste of money and a huge failure.
