Imo, It's not as good as X (areas aren't as good, and there's no limb targeting to change monster move-sets), but it's worth playing. The DLC had a better story than the main game... Xeno games just never really seem to reach their narrative potential. Shame.

XC2 had awful localization voice direction, so you may end up switching it to Japanese if you play it. The voices themselves weren't bad picks and some of the deliveries are actually quite good, but the direction was all over the place and you can tell where the actors got no direction at all.

I liked it. I highly recommend purchasing the DLC if you're gonna play it, though; it gives quite a lot of content.

Even the blonde character's animations look like Miriam's. And having multiple characters on-screen looks to work similarly to Portrait of Ruin.

Dunno why you thought of Xenosaga. This is styled after Igavanias (which, great, my kind of game, but still).

It needs some reworking, imo. The very first pride flag had a hot pink and a turquoise stripe... I think those could be brought back/reworked into the trans colors. Make the black and brown strips border the flag along with a grey stripe and a white stripe for ace people, and then turn the intersex part into a small diamond/rectangle and moved to the upper left or maybe the center? I think that would look better.
The whole point of picking the rainbow as a symbol was that it was an inclusive spectrum, so I don't think it needs adding to, but I don't mind it being added to either. I just wish there was a bit more thought put into its look.

The game needed more time. It sort of suffers from a light version of the same problem the second half of Xenogears. I'm glad the story is complete, because the alternative is worse *glances at Tales of Xillia 1* but it's a shame that Arise is not as good as it could be.

This thread actually got me reading into this. I don't frequently follow this kind of stuff but it almost seems like the defamation is trying to mask a more severe domestic abuse case. Not really surprising with how corrupt Hollywood is with their repeated abuse of women. Doubt that even if the abuse charges were looked at anything would happen because people with power are simply above the law. But you never know if Depp is at Big Harv level of fucked up, he might actually go to jail. It would probably require other people to claim the same levels of abuse because it kinda feels like this whole thing is being swept under the rug in favor of his fame. Honestly sounds like a future Law and Order episode. Not trying to glorify it, because this whole thing seems really fucked up and shows how messed up some of these people that young kids (well most of these kids are adults now) identify as idols really are.

I don't watch films, just happens to be a coincidence that I know who Depp is because of Harry Potter.

This will be my last post for a while, but this was my experience with this affair as well. A friend of mine on another website told me that I should look into the original trial after I told him that I was getting messages from my family members mocking Heard and fawning over Depp's behavior during this civil suit and it was making me uncomfortable.

I think more trials need to be publicly viewable. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. How many criminal trials has the Innocence Project overturned now, where we learn about the shit that went down in the court room only after the person is cleared years later and are aghast at what we hear?

I would like jen's opinion on this but I think this might be a bad idea (I have to go to work, though, so I can't really comment further atm) if for no other reason than because of the way THIS has been handled. At the very least, before that I would like people to get a better understanding of the history of the legal system and some of its... grosser attributes.

Yes, people forget this way too often. Math and division, and addition and subtraction, are on EQUAL level in PEMDAS. It is their position that indicates which should be done first. Imo, if you want the multiplication to be done first in the equation in the first post, you should have written it like:
8/(2(2+2)) = 1.
Your equation is currently saying 8/2x(2+2) -> 8/2x4 = 16.
*shrug* The extra () would clarify the equation. Honestly this is why I get a bit irritated at this question, because the best response to it is "Your equation is poorly written. I am not surprised. Her defense was terrible, and Depp's team made a clear effort to all but woo the court with their behavior; this is not the first case I've seen where being... I guess the word is "charming"? played a role in the outcome.

My own opinion, at this point, is that it was disgusting that this was so heavily publicized because it was obviously a form of weaponizing the public as retaliation. It is the reason I didn't comment on the case much at all. Oddly, I think it lowered my opinion of Depp more than it was before, especially because I ended up learning more about the legal case that this civil suit came from.

You could do it to anyone.

I think you haven't thought about the natural consequences of this ruling. Even putting aside how fascists would chomp at the bit over this, even on a personal, petty level it is obscenely dangerous. You could have a bigoted lawyer that throws your case on purpose, for example.
