I didn't even question it. I saw there like 40 posts in this topic since I last checked, and I know how things go on this board.

I'm expecting them to show up more often as more tracks get released. It's the odds.

Yeah, I knew the other ones were from Tour, but weirdly enough the Ninja course doesn't list the game origin. It's the only course in the DLC pack that doesn't. I wonder why?

Wow, Choco Mountain got a bigger makeover than I expected.

So I've never played Tour, but the way the Paris course makes you race in the opposite direction in the final lap is terrifying, especially when there's Bullet Bills and Star players heading directly towards you.

Seems like a good excuse to bring back Board 8 Mario Kart games.

The new ninja track is actually REALLY cool. So many different pathways, many of them vertical, including some really cool hidden ones!

As a bonus, you don't really need to buy the DLC to play the new tracks. If they come up online you can play them, and if you're in a room with someone who owns the pass everyone can pick them.

Looks alright.
Though it did bug me how in the intense looking combat scenes, the playable character was reciting the spell names so casually. Made it sound like he was in the middle of a stroll rather than in the heat of combat.

I was actually thinking watching it that it felt like something that was probably turned down from earlier versions. They probably had the player shouting the names louder, and then realized that since every attack is a spell this was super annoying and made it softer.

Harry Potter is one of those things where I think the world is super interesting but all the actual content has missed the mark for me.

I mean, it's just a big ad. Don't know how interesting that will be for you.

The game looks fantastic visually. An open world game set in the universe with modern graphics. The art direction and graphics are great. The spell combat looks pretty sick too. Using Expelliarmus to yank a sword away from a dude and shove it back into him was awesome.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I'm mostly interested in those aspects like classroom stuff and making friends with the fellow students. It looks like they're including a lot of that, but I wonder how balanced it will be with the other gameplay. It could easily go wrong and not be that fun, but if they make it work nicely, like how Persona bounces between dungeon crawling and socialization, then it could be amazing.

Holy crap this game looks really good. It's the video game I've always wanted to play since I was a kid.

I saw some "timer" based gameplay though. 25 minutes to brew a potion... I hope there's no microtransactions.

Yeah, Black Widow is pretty darn bad. There's nothing really wrong with it, but it's so uninspired and brings nothing to the table that other superhero or action movies do. It feels like such a Phase 2 movie.

Uhhhh.... That's literally going to happen in the Flash movie.

It was fun. Definitely an "alternative universe" take on the characters, since none of them really match the games that closely, and it could get pretty dumb at times, but it was an enjoyable movie all in all. Good popcorn flick.

The Nolan North cameo was excellent.

The final action sequence with the flying pirate ship battle felt like a classic bonkers Uncharted action sequence, and I really liked that.

As someone who loves water types Kyogre is my god.

Someone brought this up before but it bears repeating, this has NOTHING to do with the game's themes itself being considered too offensive. Nintendo just really doesn't want the bad optics of putting up posters in Walmart and ads everywhere for a game all about "War" at the dawn of a major, horrifying war. It doesn't matter how cartoony or non-violent the content is, or how distasteful the content in other games is. It's just a PR thing.

I liked it a LOT more the second time around.

Even though I still have issues with the plot, you can tell they put a lot of care into it. There are a lot of cool little details that you pick up the second time around.

This movie is supposed to be standalone, but I think they're planning sequels and tv show spinoffs for it? And the DCEU Batman is supposed to be appearing in future movies like The Flash. Honestly the whole thing is kind of a mess.

Random thought: I know GRRM directly helped but its funny how many Sanderson influences there seems to be. Could easily be coincidence and I'm just wishful thinking, but we have the shattering, shardbearers, and Patches basically being Hoid.

So is Clawmark Seal any good? It says it lets you cast incantations based on your strength stat, so figured it would be good for my low magic build, but the beast spell you get from that dude feels like it sucks.

It is kinda weird how they were so gung-ho about making their cinematic universe and seeded all these Batman characters in other movies but then made Joker, which was separate from all that, and now this, which is separate from all that.

You'll need to use the finger items to see player summon signs. You might also need to activate the summoning pool statues... I think. You can also just place your summon sign, or use an item to send your sign to any nearby summoning pool.

Yeah, they seemed to have changed the mechanics pretty significantly from what I can tell. You seem to only be able to invade someone who uses your invasion sign. So no more harassing random players who are just going about their day.

Seems to make invasions really weak, but I don't really mind since I never liked that system.

Bleed seems really good.

Using a +5 Winged Scythe and the bleed procs are great.

What's the bleed rating? I was using the longsword with a bleed affinity but couldn't really tell how useful it was, so I eventually changed it to a strength scaling one. But my bleed rate was like 60.

I guess what I mean is that I don't really get what the values on the armor really equate to, and the upgrades seem small. Weapons are done just fine and you can easily go test them out. I guess I'm less overwhelmed by the map and move overwhelmed by "this armor has +0.3 Fire and -0.3 Pierce" which probably sounds absurd, I get it.

I'm also still not a wizard on the ashes of war, but, I realize that's a "neon" problem.

When I first played Dark Souls I focused way too much on what armor I was wearing and honestly it was a bad move. In the end the only things that really mattered was what my equip weight was, stacking poise if I was going for heavy armor, and sometimes I would go for resistances when in certain areas (like if I knew I was going to into an encounter with a lot of fire, or poison, I'd stack that defense). Aside from that the armor stats seemed arbitrary and pointless. Elden Ring feels the same, I haven't changed my starting armor at all yet since the weight is light enough for me and that's all that matters now. Just wear what you like.

Yeah, same! I thought I was at light weight until I saw in the menu I was actually medium weight. So I unequipped stuff to get to light, and noticed no real change. You probably get more i-frames, but man was med weight speed buffed. Probably because it was pretty useless before...

I'm pretty sure the poison heal recipe is bought from the merchant near the Coastal Cave. That was first place I saw the poison cure items being sold, and merchants usually sell the recipes for the same items they sell.
