Doubtful but they nerfed the power up boosts a few months in so it wasn't just "spend $400 and solo carry matches to diamond rank" anymore.

Yeah, I'm glad they changed that. It was a horrible idea from a balance standpoint and turned it into a pay-to-win game.

I think he's still going to join, Momo telling him not to fight kind of gives me the impression that since Wano is now under attack by an admiral, they're getting the pirates out of there whether they're fully healed or not. I think all the samurai know that they're outmatched even if they outnumber him, and Momo wants Yamato to make sure he's on Luffy's ship when it leaves.

Eh, I'd kind of prefer that if any admiral was going to get stomped by Luffy, it's one that was already seen in the series before now. If the first thing Ryokugyu does in One Piece is get his ass kicked, it just makes him a jobber and not a threat and really takes away from the impact of his appearance.

I'm also not sure from his dialogue in this chapter if Ryokugyu is a World Noble, or just a simp for them.

I played it for a bit at launch but abandoned it because it took like 100 matches or more to earn enough currency for a new character, made worse by the cap they had in place for earning that currency.

I'm debating going back to it but if the only realistic way to get a new character is just to pay for it then I'm not gonna.

To be fair most D&D sessions are comedies

Getting rid of plastic straws always seemed funny to me. Fine with plastic everything else but that strawhuge difference.

Single-use plastic straws are a huge factor in the environment getting to the state it's in because you use them to drink one thing and then throw them out (don't even sit there and try to tell me you recycle every last straw you use, anybody who says this is a liar), and have a really bad habit of killing fish, turtles, and other sea life.

An idiot, yeah, but one that's oddly perceptive and empathetic to others. One early example is when he realized that Connie liked Bobby instead of him, even though Bobby couldn't see it himself.

He also didn't start really acting like an idiot until later in the series. You could argue that his change in personality was due to puberty wreaking absolute havoc on him (along with Dale's influence), but I think it was just Flanderization at that point.

Which could also be seen as he's helping his dad cope with the knowledge that he couldn't have possibly impregnated Nancy. Again, he was trying to spare Dale from making a realization that could have potentially destroyed his entire family.

Yeah, Joseph's speech at the end of Spin The Choice really implies that Nancy told him the truth, but Joseph is still beating around the bush and keeping up the lie for Dale's sake, who he still views as his dad.
