I recall an EA exec saying all they would lose was four letters on the cover. At the time, I thought he was exaggerating but apparently he wasn't.

we were only planning on extending it if there was like a big push from a LOT of people, but instead the consensus seems to be "mixed/hmm", so it'll open when we originally said. tonight.

(sorry for poor communication. it was probably a bad idea to even express the possibility of an extension on the freeze when we were already leaning no on it + and we should've communicated the freeze earlier/better in the first place. especially if we were going to make it even longer)

That's too bad. An extension of even just another day would have really helped.

When will we know if the pause will be extended? Do I need to prepare a rush of supports for 4 hours from now or will I have more time?

I'm guessing they are supposed to be 'top tier' attorneys considering they are representing celebrities who can pay top dollar but my god it must be a really low bar if Heard's lawyers are amongst the elite.

I asked PrivateBiscuit1 about this earlier and he said that "money does not equal quality with a lawyer." Also even a lawyer with decades of experience might not have stood in an actual trial very often.

The pause starts at May 8 10pm EDT and ends May 9 10pm EDT.

It can't end at May 10 10pm EDT since that's when the locking period ends.

Long ago, Anankos foresaw that he would go crazy someday. To combat this, he gave a fragment of his Dragonstone to the Valla royal family along with a song. The two combined could be used to help calm down a raging dragon. It is implied that that piece of the dragonstone and song eventually made their way to Azura who is a descendant of the Valla royal family. She used them to help calm down Corrin who is descended from Anankos. I have no idea why they put this info in the DLC instead of the Revelation arc that was supposed to answer everything.

I actually sometimes blow my nose almost exactly the same way. Like right down to rubbing the bottom of my nose with a bare index finger (although for me it would be the hand not holding the tissue). Now I have to stop doing that or people will think I'm on cocaine. ;_;

How I had it explained to me was "this is a jury trial and juries are lizard brained people who don't always go by the laws".

Defamation suits are very hard to win. Even if Depp's side might look good, he can still lose.

While true, Yoshi-P has a high reputation right now so people are inclined to believe that the statement is at least in the ballpark of being right. Although, I guess CDPR also had a good reputation before Cyberpunk happened. >_>

In regards to both sides being actors. I wonder if the fact that Depp is an actor played a factor in deciding not to let him read out his own texts earlier in the trial. He is literally a professional at reading lines out loud so there's a risk he'll read them in a way that both sounds natural and favourable to himself.

Starfield is supposed to come out this year and I think they released Skyrim again recently.

What has Bethesda even done since the last contest? I guess it's possible that some Sony fans gets salty that Microsoft bought them. But, it won't be until Starfield comes out that that really hits home since Bethesda published or developed games are still coming out on Playstation right now.

Regarding extending the deadline for locks... it's already longer this year than it was last year. Also, we have an entire weekend that we haven't gotten to yet. I vote that, if we extend the [final deadline OR the deadline for locks], extend it for no more than one extra day.

(and then there's the fact that I have performances on the 13th and 14th, meaning my participation at the close of nominations would be outright impossible if it ended on one of those two days... <_<)

Were you planning to just go if you didn't get the boots. IIRC there was a necessary key on the lamp in Ganon's Tower.

I believe he set up the portal but didn't take it back for some reason. I think the commentators were speculating that he forgot. I don't know the portal mechanics enough to know if he screwed it up or something somewhere.

When you fell I thought you were trying to style and do some sort of minor glitch. It turned out, it wasn't. >_> While you were going up Ganon's Tower, chat was saying a Ganon fall probably wasn't enough to kill your lead and they turned out to be right!

You were neck and neck with your opponent going into Turtle Rock the first time (second for your opponent). You pulled ahead a bit when you skipped a chest in Mire and lucked out into getting the boots on the boss (your opponent check the dead chest). After that, your opponent didn't take the warp back into Turtle Rock and that pretty much was a loss at that point unless you wanted another rematch with Ganon. I was only half listening to the interview so I don't recall why Skeeter didn't warp back.

A nomination period extension would be nice. Especially since the current period only includes one weekend.

I think it was mentioned before that there was a theory (not from Eren) that Ackermanns tend to latch on to and protect a single person. So, I think at that point Eren really didn't know. But, a lot of the Ackermann lore is fuzzy to me so I might be wrong on this.

When I saw Sasha, my head did not process that this was a flashback yet so I thought I had mistaken Gabi for Sasha but it really was Sasha.
