Arguments for Cranky:

• as the original Donkey Kong, Cranky was skilled at throwing barrels, climbing girders, and bending steel with the force of his stomps
• a cutthroat adversary, he could defeat Mario with one hit
• back in his day, games were harder and required more skill!

Arguments for DK:

• he comes armed with more than barrels: guns, bongos, and more mobility
• Cranky is weak to cages (then again, so are the rest of the Kongs)
• if DK shoots Cranky, it's gonna hurt

Last topic Ezio won handily, though there was some spirited discussion about stealth and poison knives. Today, tazzyboyishere provided this interesting nomination: the original Donkey Kong, also known as Cranky Kong, DK's grandfather. In his prime, Cranky was a force to be reckoned with, handling Mario with ease. But how will his more versatile grandson fare? It's a Kong-off that will shake the very firmaments of Donkey Kong Island!

Moving on, one of my favorite parts of this contest was coming up with GENRES for some of the songs. This fun addition to the contest has been met with mixed approval, but I enjoyed the chance to flex my creativity. So I figured it would be EVEN MORE FUN to come up with 64 new genres for the remaining songs! I can't promise most (or any) of these will be any good, but again, just a fun thing to do. Who knows, maybe deo will like one enough to replace it in! Gasp!

Arguments for Ezio:

• he's a real pro at hiding and sneaking and eliminating targets through stealth
• he has all sorts of potent equipment: melee weapons, crossbows, bombs, etc.; he's good at using whatever he can find
• he's quick and nimble when he needs to be, he can jump through the air, and climb up trees

Arguments for DK:

• I don't think they had giant apes running around in 15th-century Italy, is Ezio really going to know how to take him down?
• he's way more durable than a standard human, and he packs much harder punches too
• if DK shoots Ezio, it's gonna hurt

Last topic Barkley dunked his way to a victory through the power of slamjam. Today is a stealthy character. We haven't really seen how DK handles stealthy characters. For the sake of discussion, we can probably assume the terrain is such that it gives Ezio some room to be hidden and sneaky (though you can ignore this if you really want). Who wins between ape and assassin?

Wow, what a day! This is easily the best contest day this year for me so far. Everything is 7.5 or higher! That's really incredible. I won't mind any combination of winners here (though I'm secretly pulling for Tenement - shh!).

• in his prime he was one of the greatest b-ballers in the world
• his max equipment gives him the ability to dual wield two powerful basketballs
• there is way weirder shit in his universe than a talking monkey, so he's unlikely to be thrown off by anything of DK's

Arguments for DK:

• DK is no slouch in the hoops department
• Barkley might be reluctant to use Chaos Dunk in a fight
• if DK shoots Barkley, it's gonna hurt

Last topic Shredder and his many incarnations pulled off a win against DK. Today...maybe these two would actually get along? After all, their theme songs go so well together!

Last topic Ike and Aether easily prevailed over DK. Today, a different sort of human, a villain from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who's good at taking down superpowered opponents. Note that there are multiple versions of Shredder, but I won't force anyone to stick to one continuity if you don't want to.
