Regarding Gambit, everyone makes good points, and I looked around, and a lot of sources considers X-men to be Sci-Fi. So, Gambit is back in.

I'm sorry, but how exactly is Gambit a sci-fi character? He's a thief from 20th century New Orleans with magical playing cards. If you wanted to call Bishop or Cable sci-fi since they're time travelers form the future with laser guns, cybernetics, etc. I could see that but Gambit doesn't really fit the theme.

Welcome to another edition of Save That. CE has spoken, and Sci-Fi Characters has been deemed the next subject.

You can nominate up to eight sci-fi characters from any genre, drama, action, comedy, horror, etc. from all forms of media. This time around, I am restricting three characters per franchise, per poster.

I'm looking for at least 100 entries, but I will go as high as 120. If there are more than 120 nominations, a Round Zero will be implemented to cut it down to 120.

Please note, when nominating you must put what game, movie, anime, etc. no matter how obvious it is, or I will not accept it.

How is that going to work in the cases where a franchise spun off from another franchise, like Mario from the Donkey Kong arcade games or some of these old Tokusatsu series like Gridman that just became its own franchise?

It's a super tight race right now. I'll gives this another 24 hours, but it could be either Duos or Sci-Fi characters.

Think about nominations for both subjects just in case.

If I implemented a 'no more than two characters a franchise, per poster' rule for nominations, how would you feel about that?

Sci-Fi is leading right now, like if you wanted to nominate a bunch of Star Wars characters, you would only be allowed to nominate two.

Yeah, I'd be cool with that. I'd love to run one of these again someday, but I don't see my free time opening up for that anytime soon. Let me know if you decide you want to do it, I might have the results of the first (I think we did 3?) laying around somewhere.
