Iunno. This makes sense to me. Cause some people really don't understand their ignorance and others knowingly lean into it for the benefits and privileges. I try not to see groups as complete hiveminds so I can be open to understand it in a more complex way. But, saying that, they're not entitled to you sitting down and talking it out with them while they come for your rights. If you don't wanna spend your time breaking down different types of ignorance and racism, that's completely fair lol.

I feel like you can be a people pleaser without being a suck up. That's why those are 2 different terms.

I describe myself as a people pleaser but Im constantly putting up guards so I won't be used. I feel like some advice people give makes it sound like you can't be a generous person without being a sucker. The difference really is only if the person takes advantage of your nice gestures and you continue to let them take advantage of your kind nature. Don't abandon your kind nature, abandon the people taking advantage of it.

One tried to disingenuously use a post against me and no one was on his side.

More often, someone had tried to take advantage of a situation where I fucked up and convince people I was malicious instead of just slipping up. That also didn't work.

Luckily I think enough people know my intentions here by now.

Im all for being called out tho. Cause when I am, the moment sticks in my head. If I really did mess up from ignorance, I won't make the same exact mistake again.

I use to do that reworded quote bullshit way of arguing. Then I realized all Im doing is making up a different person to argue with in my head and not actually arguing with the person in front of me anymore lol. Now people rejecting all the nuance of what I said and inventing their own is the most frustrating thing to me >_>.

If you want to genuinely argue with someone about something, that's the very last way to achieve that. Best to just opt out and let people either realize that themselves or not.

There was a streamer that was boring money from other streamers for awhile and came out and admitted it was all to support a gambling addiction. Then those streamers started talking about how toxic the gambling streamers are to society and I guess their voices actually got heard.
