TC ask for a sooner follow up like in a week or so for a repeat CBC. Also ask for at least a peripheral smear, iron studies, B12/Folate. I say this because you wouldnt want to delay a referral for a bone marrow biopsy by waiting several months.

People gave up, and still don't have, a lot of their rights and freedoms stemming from the terror attacks. Yet, they banded together to root on the USA in war or something.

Oh I know, but a 17 year old shouldn't be going there fast with a year or less of driving.

Safe to say, my health anxiety is through the roof. Can't be good, but PCP wants to wait 2-3 months to re-draw to see where they are at.

I'll admit I was stupid when I was 17 and drove my mom's Porsche up to 110 on an empty 4-lane highway. Only for like 5 seconds and then went back down to the speed limit.

Reflecting back I feel like an idiot for it, and lucky I did not harm, but I was also not recording myself being an asshole.

Oh well if that's the case then why are we even having this discussion. Car B is one million billion trillion percent in the right, car A has to yield. It's a car with a left turn green arrow vs a car with a red trying to make a right. Green arrow goes, red light yields.

I had thought they were both green, in which case left turn would yield.

Because my concern was about the south slip lane and everyone started off by talking about the north. I should have made that more clear initially, especially because the map is centered but Google has it facing more north. To be honest, didn't even notice the north until the first diagram came out.

Just drove this way this afternoon and so more information to add/confirm:

-Confirmed neither slip lane has a yield sign
-For the one diagram with two left turning lanes, those lanes can only turn on left green arrow. So when those arrows are green, the slip lane has a red light and red arrow. Those turning lanes are red when opposite traffic has green.

It baffles me that American driving tests are apparently in such a way to result in this amount of confusion. Is there not a "here is how you handle this kind of situation" rule that applies here? Why is there a debate? Are all you just told how the steering wheel works and let loose on the road?

You take a test once, generally when you are 16, and then you never have to think about how to drive properly ever again.

oh. i see some of the confusion. are we turning north or south onto Ridge? the answer is different depending.

I'm personally interested in south, but I think it's a good question for both directions due to their differences.

If there's no yield sign and instead a green light for Car A, then Car A has right of way, left turning traffic always has to yield to right turning traffic, but that's ONLY IF there's one single lane.

BUT with multiple lanes, both cars should be turning into the lane closest to them (car A should only turn into the rightmost lane, car B should only turn into the leftmost lane) and they should merge over when safe if the need to. If car A turned into the leftmost lane and hit Car B, Car A is at fault. If car B turned into the rightmost lane and hit Car A, Car B is at fault.

This is categorically how it would work in PA at least

There is a great technical definition, but for all intents and purposes in this situation, if you look at the lanes see a little cement triangle between the right turn and the lanes going straight, there is your slip lane.

There is one on the opposite side.

this was going to be my answer, but the pic makes it pretty clear that it's two lanes turning into two lanes, and both cars are turning into the same lane without either changing lanes.

so, i'm now on right turn should have yielded.

But what about the second slip lane in the photo? That's the one I am personally more confused by in the situation.

I think because the car turning right isnt turning at a light. If I am looking at it correctly.

It is. They have an individual green light that goes green with the rest of traffic. No other signage.

Or I say that with the caveat that I am talking about the opposite slip lane at the intersection.

Correct. The slip lane de facto merges into a pre-existing lane after the intersection. If it's merging, it needs to yield to incoming traffic regardless of where it originates.

But then I don't understand how this negates everything taught about cars turning right on green have the right of way and that left turns should yield to that unless they have an advanced green.

If you perform satellite view, the slip lane is its own lane. The car turning left turns into the left lane.

I should note that there are two slip lanes at this intersection, but I don't believe either creates it's own lane. Traffic is already two lanes each direction.

you're supposed to turn into the lane you're in, if that makes sense. so for example, if you're in the far right lane and turning right onto a road that has two lanes going your direction, you are supposed to complete your turn into the far right lane first, then change lanes into the left lane if you want.

they're two separate acts - the turn and the lane change. too often, people will combine the two, where they turn right but go directly into the left lane, rather than turning right into the right lane and then performing a lane change.

so in this case, if i'm understanding, car B is in the wrong because car B turned into car A's rightful lane.

This is the argument I would make. Especially because I believe that is what Ohio law says. BUT I was watching some YouTube videos that briefly touched on this, but not a lot, that state that good defensive driving would yield to those cars because you don't know what they are going to do.

To throw a curve, someone in Reddit posted this in relation to this specific intersection:

I was the guy who turned right (into curb lane), was clipped by left turning car, and I was cited for failing to yield. At this intersection, 13 years ago. Was going to court to fight it, but my attorney said it waste of time as I was in the wrong.

Both cars have green at an intersection. One is turning right onto a two lane road in a slip lane and one is turning left onto that same road. If they hit each other, who is at fault? I.e. who has the actual right of way?

There is a solid debate going and no one seems to know the exact, right answer.

I've used this intersection myself and I have always wondered.

It involves a slip lane.

Traffic is flowing two lanes one way and two lanes the other at an intersection. Car A has green and is turning right in a slip lane with no yield sign. Cross traffic has red. The street it is turning right onto has two lanes of traffic.

Car B is turning left onto that same intersection. It has no traffic coming from the opposite direction other than the car turning right on the slip lane. It does not have an advance green.

Car B turns left into the far right light that Car A is turning right onto.
