It's even worse than that. They know they don't have the logistics and control to do proper blitzkriegs and support really huge forces moving in unison, so they do this shitty blitkrieg Soviet-human-wave hybrid where successive waves of small blitzkriegs are supposed to come in and fill in the gaps and exploit weaknesses. Except the end result is you are splitting your forces which is the one thing you don't want to do in a blitzkrieg, you want everything in one big lump smashing into your enemy simultaneously so you can just drive through their lines. So not only are their troops and equipment shit and their morale low, their tactics were shit too and so now they have to do an urban battle in a major city with a motivated and prepared civilian defense. Its not going to be pretty. I'd hate to be a Russian soldier going into Kyiv tonight. You're as likely to burn to death from molotovs as get shot and the death will be coming from all angles.
