The logic behind animal rights is empathy for our fellow living creatures. I've been a vegetarian for half of my life because of animal cruelty. They share our planet, but get far less of a say in what happens to it than we do. The least we can do is be kind.

The worst thing is, Sinema KNOWS that McConnell, as soon as Republicans regain power, will do away with that 60 vote threshhold she wants so bad. So it'll only ever be used against Dems. Sinema needs to be primaried, and any organizations that hire her as a lobbyist should be blacklisted.

Probably. Natsume has the rights to the Harvest Moon name (which they've run into the mud). Which is why everything is called Story of Seasons now. Kind of a shame.

Most of the character designs aren't inspired but I don't take issue with them really. It's hilarious just how garish the MC's toothpaste hair is though, just make it solely red or blue and they look so much better.

How the meeting for the character design went:

Boss: "So, we're making a new fire emblem game."
Artist: "Okay cool. Cool. What color do you want their hair to be? Green?"
Boss: "No. Not green."
Artist: "How about Red or Blue?"
Boss: "Yes."
Artist: "Is that a yes to the red or blue?"

Afaik public opinion has shifted non-negligibly in a pro-choice direction post-Dobbs, so while it might have been the median position before I expect that it would be underwater now.

It's shifted significantly since Dobbs. I believe the WSJ found that pre-dobbs support was around 48%, and now it's down to 30% with 57% opposed. Public perception shifts, especially when it becomes a reality. It's easy to say "Yeah, sure I'd support a 15-week abortion ban" when you don't see the consequences of such actions. But once you see the consequences, public opinion shifts fast. Republicans showed their cards early by going for an outright ban (and let's face it, that's their end goal here) and then moderating it to try to seem reasonable. It had the opposite effect. Most people simply don't believe them because they're starting to see them for the liars they are. Case in point: That one lawmaker who said he lost sleep over it, but then voted for the same thing a bit later. Abortion is something that should be between a woman and her doctor, with no government involvement.

The Olds don't care. The ones that vote Republican realize they only mean poor old people, not old people who have money. Which is mostly directed at poor older minorities. Not old white rich folks like them.

The one six guess one I had the right game, but accidentally put the sequel a second time and thought I had guessed the original.

I'm having fun. I think the characters are okay. It really depends on what you want out of them. They're definitely younger, less experienced, and not someone who'd fit in well in Saints Row 1. But personally I wasn't looking for that, and just wanted an open world sandbox with some fun activities.

There are some story decisions I don't like. Though hopefully some of them can be fixed with expansions. (Or later in the story, I'm still not through yet).

Also there's some activities that... kind of suck. Mostly because they're stupid hard though.

All the gerrymandering they did.

Give more money to people who don't have money? They'll spend it, therefore stimulating the economy.
Give more money to people who have money? They'll save it, therefore accumulating wealth.

Isn't this like.. basic level economics?

Easiest one yet, since I've sunk over a thousand hours into the game.

Bruh people literally can't even fight in gameplay and the only thing they can do is walk until they die. They're also answering the phone in their car and it locks the camera so they can't even drive without getting out and getting back in. People take damage from getting out of their car, every time they get out of the car because the door is hitting them!

It's happening to some people. Not everyone. People I've heard from playing the game haven't run into those bugs. If it was happening to everyone, then I'd say "Yeah, no way they should have released it this way." But it doesn't appear to be happening for everyone.

I think it's fine, mostly. Sometimes you just don't catch bugs early enough in development. Or you don't catch them at all. Some bugs only happen sometimes, and it takes time to figure out what causes the bug to occur. Day 1 patches should be super common.

Do you have a PS3? Cause I think it's on there as well. I'd say it's closer to SR3 than to GTA. My main complaints about SR3 aren't the zaniness, but more just... the story's pretty 'meh'. The villains in 3 were a little boring aside from Eddie.

I should make it clear that I have never played SR2 and only made that comment to satisfy the SR2 gang so they don't hurt me. I have to do the same thing with the Far Cry 2 people.

You should really remedy that. SR2 was easily the best in the series. It was free on Xbox games with gold recently. Not anymore, though I don't think. But it's easily worth a play through if you like the genre.

Took me 3 guesses today. Never played it, but I thought that might be it.

The problem is that moderates only care about one thing: Themselves. If it doesn't affect them, they really can't be bothered. Which aligns very well with the conservative ideology. Conservatives just take things a step further and if it doesn't benefit them, but benefits people that aren't them, then it's bad. They also tend to not believe conservatives when they say they're going to do what they're going to do.

Republicans: "We want to overturn Roe v. Wade!"
Moderates: "They're just saying that to keep their voters in line. They won't ACTUALLY do it."
Republicans: *overturn Roe v. Wade*
Moderates: *shockedpikachuface*

Doesn't help that super pacs spread misinformation completely unchecked.

Yes, but the problem is not the privatization.

Privatization is still a problem. They aren't the only problem, but they're still a problem. They incentive criminalizing behavior for profit. They also aren't particularly effective -- either cost-wise, or when it comes to recidivism. And let's not forget the Kids for Cash Scandal.
