People are walking around and near them. The victims themselves try to keep in their bubble remaining aware and unaware of the people around them. This can happen, but everyone's experiences are going to differ. I've (sadly) known several women who've been sexually assaulted, and they only ever told people they absolutely trusted, they didn't scream it at the top of their lungs in Walmart. I know part of it was the writing of the characters, but he gave Hordak, Wrong Hordak, the Horde clones, and Horde Prime all their own distinct personas, just with the tone of his voice. Not so much as a favorite, but I'll always be impressed by the range of Keith Ferguson. At one end of the scale, he's Lord Saladin from Destiny (the Iron Banner vendor). At the other, he's Bloo from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. Look at Kingsley's actual character and role in the books (spoilers obvz):That's the same type of idiocy the producers of She-Ra and The Princesses of Power got hit with. One of the main characters is a black guy, an archer named Bow. Yes, it's dumb as hell, but the original character was from the 80s so just go with it. It's established part way through the series that he has like a dozen brothers. And on a livestream, one of the producers was relating how the writers had been joking around and decided all of the brothers names rhymed. Like, one of them was a musician named Obow (Oboe, get it), stupid things like that. Well, then they said one of the brothers was a farmer named Sow (as in sowing crops). And some people lost their shit, screeching that this was a reference to slavery and it was offensive and how dare they, and it was bad enough that the showrunner tried to defuse it by publicly apologizing. Like, in these peoples minds, I guess there's no such thing as a black farmer. A bunch of her characters are racist, like the irish dude who tries to transfigure water into rum and blows things up (1), the Asian descended character being named Cho Chang (2), or the Goblins being a Jewish caricature straight out of 1930s Germany (3). Her wise old teacher character that she wanted people to like ends up raising the hero in an abusive home so he would kill himself when the time is right (4). And when the series is over and people are starting to realize the ending to a book they grew up with ended so badly she tries to act woke by making announcements like Hermione is black (5) and dumbledore is gay (6). And when she tried to use her character to show lgbt acceptance she then turns around and denounces teans people, writes a book about a guy crossdressing as a woman to go into women's bathrooms and murder them, and when people start criticizing her she writes another book about how people who criticize a popular author were happy to murder her because they were just jealous and not that they had valid criticisms.1 - Have to say I'm not remembering this. 2 - So...you're mad that the ethnically Chinese character has a Chinese name? Maybe her parents just weren't very creative when it came to picking a name. 3 - Fair. Tolkien kinda did the same thing with the dwarves, though, one of their primary motivations was money. 4 - Dumbledore was revealed to be less heroic and more 'ends justify the means', that was the point of his character, that eventually Harry realized how far DD would go. 5 - That was just support for the original Cursed Child actress. 6 - Wasn't really relevant to the story one way or the other. --- "We're all just someone else's alternate future, when you get right down to it." -- John Constantine |

And if a person of a different race has that voice, then it should be fine to cast themThe reason women tend to get cast as young boys is because 1, they have years or decades of experience; and 2, they can maintain the character for a long time. An actual boy is going to go through puberty and have a deeper voice (for instance, Zach Callison from Steven Universe has talked about having difficulty pitching his voice up in Season 5 to match his season 1 performance), but it ended up working because Steven was aged up for the movie and Future. There's nothing wrong with specifically casting, say, someone of Japanese ethnicity over a White person to voice a Japanese character. The biggest name I can think of recently is Alyson Court, who voiced Jubilee in the 90s X-Men cartoon.
