I started watching and got caught up on Gundam: Witch from Mercury. It's okay so far, I guess, but I have one complaint that probably shouldn't bother me as much as it does. I'll spoiler tag it. Spoilers as of episode 7 I guess, but I don't reference any actual plot events, this is just about an overall character relationship.

I have officially finished my first manga!

I picked A School Frozen in Time because it was only four volumes total and I liked the premise. Eight kids get trapped in a high school and need to figure out which one of them was the one who committed suicide. The first volume was good, so I bought the rest. Sadly, the story kind of fell apart and became really melodramatic at times. Ah well.

Still, it worked as a test. I enjoyed reading the manga. Buying physical copies was expensive, especially since reading through them didn't take very long, so I'll probably use certain websites in the future. I also still prefer anime, but so many great shows end without a proper conclusion so it'll be good to start reading those ones at least.

speaking of which currently into the 11th Deluxe volume of Berserk

Everything that went down before getting on that boat has been some of my favorite stuff in this series so far

Up to Chapter 800 in One Piece!!

Personally, I really liked Dressrosa. Probably one of my favorite story arcs, overall.

So in One Piece, whats with the Admirals having two names? Is one their real name and one like a title?

The upcoming JJK content is a MUCH bigger high note than the Entertainment District Arc or the upcoming Abyss content. I would manage to get over it.

If anything is going to hinder my JJK hype it's that the last several months of many have been nigh unreadable. Akutami got sick around the Maki stuff and it's been super mediocre ever since they came back. It's heavily reminiscent of when Hoshini came back to D.Gray Man after being real sick and that manga was never the same. I'm hoping it swings back.

Finished Punk Hazard!

Yeah, wasnt really feeling it at first, but I felt like my interested picked up towards the end. Id say the last third or so, once Land of the Dead was released and everyone got into Ceasers facility, everything after that was good. I liked the fight between Vergo and Smoker and Law. I went from having no opinion on Law to thinking that guys neat, so thats a plus as well. And like all One Pie e arcs, ending with a giant party is always a good time.

But, overall, probably one of the weaker arcs of the manga

This is a fucking catastrophe. How can Square be so fucking incompetent as to completely change the story in Remake and try to cram 90% of the game into only 2 more parts?

FF7R was great for the 90% of the game that was faithful to the original, with the ending being almost universally hated. So their response to that is to DOUBLE DOWN on the stupidity and deviate even further from the original. Why is it that every media property that is good (Final Fantasy, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc) has just absolutely gone to fucking SHIT. Have people in creative positions just completely lost any drive and ambition and resorted to phoning literally every project in?

I am loving lots of things about iOS. Losing my android game purchases is a bummer and I miss the Pie Control app for instant switching between apps but this is great.

This is a terrible example (and it's Nintendo that's doing it, not Sony. They backed out for the time being) because some games are locked on their digital stores because they're not playable on newer game systems. Once those stores are shutdown, they're gone for good, barring any hacking.

For mobile devices, you literally just have to upgrade your devices and you can use the apps again.

iPhones cost a lot more than Android for phones with comparative specs, have much shorter planned obsolescence life for the hardware, and will hard cut off operating system updates for older models that results in almost every major app being unusable, by which I mean that at some point Apple says "your phone/pad is too old, so you aren't allowed to use it anymore".

My dad busted an old iPad out of storage a month ago and it wouldn't even allow him to install Amazon Shopping, said that there was no version of the app that existed that was old enough to work on it anymore. Not a single other app we tried to install worked either, the thing was essentially a paper weight. Just simply not something that happens on android.

My entire family has iPhone besides me, and every time I have to use it for something or to help them out I'm absolutely amazed at how terrible it is.

The One Piece arguments hitting again with the official new chapter release, and Oda doesn't actually write the Vivre Cards himself and they've been wrong before.

Well this is easy, there is no act structure that really works like Oda's as far as I can tell, unless he really is just doing his own thing, but then there's no set of expectations. If he wasn't using any typical act structure, then we wouldn't even know how many to expect, which is pretty much the opposite effect you wanna have when doing something like that. And Act 3 stretching from the backstory, through the action climax, AND the resolution just makes no sense to me.

I take to this mean him "You're gonna lose to Luffy." I'm actually fine with BB not being the actual final villain. I prefer it because of how he was revealed during Marineford, but I kinda consider the series having "multiple" final bosses in a sense, because the Akainu thing also needs to happen. He just doesn't seem like a character that's getting stronger like BB.

I will agree that the act structure makes no sense atm. It truly seems like they forgot to put an act transition between the flashback and the raid.

I don't even know where to begin with how bizarre of ending this is for an arc that was this long.

Guess I'll have to wait to see what the "ending" really means, it could take a while. Like I can't even get excited for the endgame of one piece if the man builds up 400 chapters for a conclusion to a saga like this. Is BB gonna get a backstory? Will the fight even be long or is it gonna be a quick 3 chapter clash boom power up good bye. I look forward to the lore drops but I don't care as much if the actual meat is undercooked.

But arc not over I'm not gonna dwell on it. The act structure is also badly throwing me off.
