it was never good

as soon as i noticed another place delivered pizza here i never ordered from pizza hut again

some people really love making the game out to be as awful as 06 but it's actually just incredibly boring with really bad writing, just like colors and lost world and basically every 3d game besides boom (which is the one 3d game that actually deserves to be compared to 06)

it does a lot of things right, it avoids having a bunch of trackers and icons and quests that would otherwise make the game feel overwhelming with its number of things to find and do
the map doesn't show you everything and there's a lot of stuff you can find on your own
it's good at guiding you to things without being too handholdy
it lacks the cluttered feel that many open-world games have, but just like the others it can feel way too big (spatially) sometimes

star ocean 2 is one of the greatest games of all time and they just never recaptured that magic. 3 was really good and it's been trash ever since

it's a game full of secrets but "here's how this thing actually works", especially when it's used at least three times over the course of the game, is probably not one of those things they meant to put as an obscure secret

i don't like any of the variants besides peppermint, which i prefer to the original

it took until the literal most recent tales game for the series to not look like it has a pathetic budget but it's still pretty stiff and has weak cutscene direction

vesperia feels about as janky as symphonia

rpgs are generally way too easy for me to care about holding onto strong items

except for unchained blades, which had only one revive item in the first dungeon and the first boss was the hardest part of the game, i usually just use items whenever i feel like it because they're usually really easy to get

smt throws items at you like candy and they also sell for a fuckton so i usually just sell them

being a bigot's a pretty massive flaw, there's not simply no such thing as being "perfect but a bigot"

swag was a hilarious word and i love to use it ironically

it's fun but not something i'd go out of my way to play. the level/mission design can be tedious in some areas and the controls can feel quite clumsy if you haven't played the game in a while.

sunshine had a bad camera but i have no idea how it's worse than 64's

i can't trust a remake to improve the gameplay while preserving the amazing art
pso2 sucks though, tedious uninspired filler trash with somehow duller combat than a dreamcast game

for me, the time gimmick of majora didn't really add much
i was never in danger of running out of time during a dungeon run and it simply made some of the quests more annoying to do
it was more of a formality and atmosphere element than it was a fun gameplay mechanic

sonic adventure is a pretty sloppy game but glitch hunting is fun to do in it
lots of wrong warping and menu exploitation in addition to basic clipping out to unintended areas

some bad games can be kinda fun to speedrun due to their strange level design and odd controls

they're generally pretty mediocre but only a few of them are downright terrible

sa2 is really boring and basically made everything interesting about sa1 pretty bland and sterile. sa1 isn't even a good game but it's at least interesting, but sa2 just manages to be super boring and has the most boring visuals and reuses assets and level design pieces all the time and across various levels

heroes is mediocre but kinda sorta somewhat fun at times, but once you've gone through team sonic there is no real reason to do anything else. the game has basically no content and the different teams don't meaningfully add to the experience

shadow is pretty bad with an embarrassing aesthetic but it has some levels that are kind of okay. the gun play is really damn mindless and a lot of the missions are pretty bad

the rest kind of just suck outright except for colors (which is just really boring) and generations (which is average enough). some real bad ones like secret rings and 06 and boom. people like to make forces out to be the worst thing ever but it's just another really boring game

why would you support nis and their shitty dlc practices

they don't need the extra money and they just love getting money from suckers that just want their dumb disgaea 1 for the fifth time so they pay $15 for it, or people who keep paying for adell even though he gets more and more lazily implemented as the games go on. it's even worse when 6 doesn't even give you music to go with the characters and people still ate up and defended the dlc

people insist ttyd is an amazing game when the chapters are filled with dumb padding

you can see instances of padding as early as boggly woods, but the train chapter and the island chapter are pretty dumb too which sucks because their premises are fun

i think it was pretty charming as a little slice-of-life thing early on
it starts to more interesting when the story begins to really start, but the show really failed to continue living up to its potential

it's a fun concept but with how death can apparently come at you in an instant, it never appealed to me gameplay-wise

i'd gladly be rich watching shitty youtube content for many hours

it's an alternative way of handling netcode, where the game basically takes the inputs of both players, tries to predict an outcome, and (if there's some sort of error) will go back to a previous state
it removes input lag but has its own problems

nobody ever liked waluigi pinball for the pinball design, the track barely takes place on the table itself and is just a simple winding road down the chutes
