Agreed; it also came at a critical time, as the very first console multiplatform Sonic game, and was completely underwhelming, particularly when compared to its most recent predecessor (Sonic Adventure 2), imo. I had been looking forward to an Adventure 3, not... that. Ugh. Then Shadow's game came out and was worse, then Sonic 2006 which was even worser still. Really rough time to have been somewhat of a Sonic fan. The baffling decisions by Sonic Team back then really started piling up fast... |

I would personally have to disagree; I quite enjoyed the final bosses for Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Knuckles got to hand Mecha Sonic his blue metal ass, while Sonic himself went head to head with the Doc, going through the gauntlet of his giant robot suits & chasing him down through Doomsday Zone in the stratosphere while in Super/Hyper Form; you can say what you will, but to me that was epic as hell back in the day. And the music, as ever, puts it over the top for me. |
