Its more of a peaceful, relaxation thing for most people who enjoy it. It allows you to chill out and express yourself in a space for a bit of time each day. I personally have enjoyed Animal Crossing, but never feel its worth the price tag for what you are getting (especially multi-generationally). I think the real time clock does way more harm than good for the series, and if you are interested in the concept of animal crossing but expect you'd like something more robust in gameplay, you cannot go wrong with Stardew Valley. --- move all remaining groundhog mercenaries to the front lines. Most of my friends who played and enjoyed the 1 and X didn't make it far into 2, a lot bailed after the maid outfit Poppy cutscene early on. I stuck with it and finished the game, but honestly felt punished for doing so, The full context of the game really makes a lot of the cringe decisions for character design and anime memes worse instead of better surprisingly. We are about 2 years into the new consoles lifespans and developers are still announcing that their new games are being built for last gen hardware. Its probably another bad result of modern game development, but doesn't make it feel any worse. This on top of companies having such trouble to actually produce and supply the current gen consoles, leading people to basically compete to spend the chunk of money on one.
