Ok those two articles don't appear to be actually related; the first is about assholes who want to isolate LGBT+ people because of monkeypox which is some real bullshit. And the second is about how Arizona which had stopped doing executions for a while because they botched one horribly is now about to start doing more despite probably setting it up poorly and their methods being cruel and messed up. The two articles are both worthy of scorn and derision but there's nothing about gassing gay people yet.

Certainly I wouldn't put it past the party in which candidates talk about wanting to shoot gay people, but it's not in the article.

That would be a relevant reply if the smaller countries had some amount of medical bill bankruptcies but just a lower amount; zero is something more than just less people.

History has shown a disarmed society is a vulnerable one. A big part of why Mexico is the way it is is because they've been effectively disarmed. There is literally one place in the entire country to get a gun and GFL being approved. They cant defend themselves against the cartels or corrupt governments and at this point there's not much they can do internally to regain control of their country. Why? Because the people with the guns make the rules. An armed society at least somewhat levels the playing field.

Japan doesn't let civilians easily or at all have guns and doesn't have those issues. I would say it's more than that separating the USA from Mexico.

Their other sandwiches are all right, like the reuben. And curly fries are pretty great. It's basically just a Simpsons meme. They're not really a burger place so I can see why there are people who aren't into that, and they're not as nice as a fresh deli. But they're not horrible any more than any other fast food place might occasionally have a location that sucks.

I hear you. But Genshin Impact has refused to cater to my particular desires in that regard so I must say I am a bit interested in the create your own concept just mentioned.

It would be great if certain right wing figures could accept that accurate coverage of founding fathers is important. We can praise them for thimgs they did that were praiseworthy and still call them out for their behaviors that were not. It's possible to say "Yes, George Washington did good things for the USA but also here is the nasty shit he did, let's all use this as an example of how not to do that."

But there is this idea that you can't criticize people, you just have to worship them. You can't try and hold your historical figures up to the light and hold them accountable for things.

Then I guess if they fail, they fail. Pretty sure target demo is what influences most of their decisions though, selling action figures etc.

I'm not going to pretend I'm above watching cartoons as an adult, I watch anime and a close friend of mine is having me watch The Owl House with her and it's pretty funny; but let's face it, fro every Avatar there was another show that didn't age as well or isn't as good as it was when we were kids.

If CN isn't going for an adult audience, just get your cartoons elsewhere. Personally, I don't mind if they just keep doing their own thing, if they make another cartoon with adult appeal some day great, not like I was watching anything else on Nick by the time Avatar was out and I heard it was worth watching. If they don't make anything else with broad appeal, that's life.

Do kids still enjoy it? Not sure if we are really the target audience.
