Right, that's what I'm saying. I've never felt like it was me doing the crime in the city but more so just me controlling whatever character I was playing as and how he would be in the city. That's a big difference than say, Skyrim or something.

To be fair, GTA is totally a "this character is you" series.

You're not the ninja leaping off of walls and slashing up demons. You're not an alien cyborg. You're not the fire-ball shooting chosen one. These are games people play for the action.

But GTA is wholly about inserting yourself vicariously into a world of crime. In that regard, I can't blame people for wanting avatars that look like them. But seeing as this game apparently has options, nobody should be getting upset that a female character is a playable option.

First off women gamers exist.

Second off, GTA is very much about the characters. I never felt like myself playing Tommy, CJ, Niko, any of the GTAV guys, I felt like I was role playing as how they would play in that world. It's not like its a Create a Murderer custom player situation.

The problem is that you think that this is a "whole country" problem.

In reality, it's just a small number of people that are way too terminally online and even then some of those people are just trolls/bots/schizoposting online.

Go talk to people in real life about this shit and most people don't even know that its a thing, and if they do they don't have a solid opinion on it anyway.
