Nope.

I prefer one partner at a time. If they were honestly down for that, there would be no reason to "cheat" with me. They would just be with me.

Okay so far:
  • news anchor committed suicide; cancelled wedding implied as potential reason why
  • she previously lost a former lover to brain cancer and they were set to get married soon
  • anchor finds new man whos a walking red flag, probably one of the worst possible choices for commitment
  • witnesses say anchor + Mr. Red Flag relationship had history of arguments and accusations of infidelity
  • she still wanted to try marrying Mr. Red Flag
  • he predictably said no (possibly not immediately) and may have insulted her over it.

Just my take, but this does not sound like a rare turn of events.
The suicide was an extreme outcome of a relationship phenomena that happens to a lot of people.

Unfortunately, there's a subculture of people who both work out AND get cosmetic injections. It's a mindset of "bigger is better ". It's something that has been happening with certain bodybuilders for years as well (ie: synthol). When people can't get their physical image to match an ideal in their heads, they can go to dangerous extremes.

Okay some posters here find current age of consent laws not sufficient enough. For example, in the west.

What's your proposed solution to the issue regarding western policies? What course of effective legislation do you recommend to fix the issue in say the U.S.? Because that's what it would take. Laws would have to be voted on and changed in order to encourage people to shift trends. What do you suggest?

Something like raise the age of consent to 21 across the board for everybody in the U.S.?*
*(applied equally for both male and female participants, because otherwise it won't work)

Have you brainstormed ways to convince more people to side with your position and take it to legislation? Or have you just given up and accepted that it's a lost cause?

You will see more of this when you work with elderly patients and long term care.

Last month I literally had a 80+ year old strictly non-ambulatory old woman with dementia in an untied hospital gown hobble out of her room on another wing to find me because she confused me for her gynecologist who was probably dead by now and begged me to examine her vaginal area for an "imploding" infection that was all in her head. She wasn't flirting, she just trusted my face and would zero in on me since mediations with other nurses panned out worse.

We've also walked into our staff lounge for an afternoon emergency meeting with the new administrator only to find two senior residents "consensually" getting their mack on pantless. They both have dementia. Company president was due to arrive within a couple hours same day.

Batman, James Bond, and MacGuyver have got nothing on dealing with this shit.

Unusual in the west, but I don't believe it's accurate to label as "weird".

Mobile phones are not replacing TVs quite THAT fast, nor has it become a majority trend.
And many consumers still prefer a large screen as ideal for home entertainment.

Alternative electronics for media viewing have come out over the years, but none of them have really dethroned the TV as a staple appliance yet. Commercial innovation hasn't achieved that yet.

I think some religious advocates can bear helpful and ethical wisdom.
However, I don't believe it's something innate to being religious or specific religions.

Wise people from experience are typically the bearers of cultural wisdom because they can often see who needs it. Religion can help in that prospect when spoken responsibly. However, religion can also just as easily be used to excuse tyranny in the name of moral sanctity (a historically common practice in many different early belief systems). Religion, in my opinion, is not innately wisdom or righteousness. It's a tool. And tools can be used for both support or harm depending on the wielder.

I don't find a religious person wise and honorable because they practice religion. I see them as a wise and honorable person who happens to practice religious beliefs.

Uh yeah, it happens to a lot of young gay men. Particularly those of us who are tall, frequent the gym and work in women dominated fields.

Most of the women I've had to politely turn down took it civilly and we stayed friends. A few others, however, got belligerent over it to the point I've had to give up a job. I wasn't reported or fired, they just made it uncomfortable and treated me like a pariah at the workplace. Some of them literally thought I was only using homosexuality as a made up excuse to not date female coworkers. One kept insisting I was bisexual despite my history of being exclusively attracted to men because she wanted to date me. Like those few cases got really bad.

I'm still grateful it's not a majority. Part of the reasons I still trust women is my friends and family who act a lot better. They're a reminder that plenty of women are sane, empathetic, fair, and compassionate. They're just not screaming in their cars on TikTok.

I like She-Hulk, got ecstatic when she got added to MvC3, and I wanted to see her appear in the MCU. But so far I just couldn't bring myself to care for this show. The CGI wasn't an issue for me. The "cut & pasted" plot was. The show's adaption of her origins was an unnecessary twist and the "bathroom scene" was so cringey. Things kept taking me out of the show after that.

I've also never been a fan of Rufallo's neutered Hulk, so this had one foot in the grave already.

Really hope the show's chemistry changes and that this is just another series where the first episode stinks, but the reset of the series takes off and redeems it. Also want to see more Titania brawls; the actress seems like she really cares about the show and respects fans. I like She-Hulk and want the character to get a fair shake at a series. I want to see more of Marvel's ladies hit the screen. But this ain't it, Disney.

Skinny guys can be cute; I've dated plenty of them. They're actually the most common body type of gay men (chubby coming in second), which is part of why I'm not opposed to dating them. They're a norm. Body types among gay men are pretty similar to what you find within straight demographics (with a slightly higher trend for staying slim for vanity and dating success). That trend does not mean everyone in the demographic has the dedication to keep a six pack. Despite popular images on TV, super fit chiseled gay men are not actually common outside of certain areas.

I lift. Guys who don't take notice and it's nice to feel appreciated. And because their lack of athleticism is not an immediate turn off for me, I get a much wider pool of partners than some of my gym buddies who only hook up with other fitness junkies. There's perks to dating the abundant.

I remember watching a youtube vid showing parts of the 90's New Adventures of He-Man cartoon and it was horrible. The worst part was Skeletor sounded like William Shatner and he wasn't diabolically ruthless at all. He was basically written as a dopey conman....with a devious looking skull for a face (and the victims were just written to fall for it). They wrote him as more of a bumbling crook instead of a sinister and menacing warlord. They neutered him for the sake of politically correct marketing.

Like the original cartoon series was historically a glorified toy advertisement that through dumb luck just happened to also be entertaining for kids too. But the 90's reboot failed to repeat that; it screamed "this reboot obviously sucks, but gets a season to push merchandising ". There just wasn't anything likable about it besides clowning on how awful it was.

I liked the 2002 origin for Skeletor. Keldor having a bitter rivalry with his brother King Randor over the throne makes sense. And then Keldor getting his face burnt off during battle and turning into his iconic skull persona via dark magic to survive fit fine. Seeing that he actually had a previous identity before his self-inflicted disfigurement added to the complexity of why he continued on as a vengeful antagonist instead of submitting to Randor.

One of the comic origins where he was basically an alien from another dimension where he had a family and skullheaded people were the default sounded way more ridiculous and cheap. That's the one I hoped was permanently retconned...

I try to avoid those relationships. I don't even like it when friends do it.

I'm one of those people who looks like a social butterfly in a crowd. I get grabbed to make presentations, negotiations, rally employee meetings, whatever. I'm not shy, I certainly don't stutter, and I can keep people's attention. But when I get home, I usually want solitude so I can recharge from all that required socializing and intermittent pandering to get things done.

Clingy partners tend to also be NEEDY partners, they go hand-in-hand and have never been a good fit for me. The only exceptions I've made were partners who doted on me practically like a servant and that gets old fast too.

I like socializing and excel at it...but only under the condition that the show's over when I walk out and no one's following me home bugging me on what to do next. I can focus 100% on what I want to do.

They can gaslight and blame it all on review bombing, but the series getting poor reception was more due to the reboot's poor writing overall...

A Teela series could have worked. This was not it. And Kevin Smith swearing it wasn't going to focus mainly on Teela only made it all look worse. So if consumers are leery about trusting Smith's sales pitch now, it's warranted.

However, I thought about how sleezy and manipulative Amber Heard has been shown to be. Actors and other staff members said she was "difficult to work with" and that usually means worse. I would not be surprised if some staff were afraid to say anything about her behavior because it would literally cost them their job. I bet her cutthroat nastiness was part of why Warner Brothers took so damn long to axe her out of fear of lawsuits and media scandals. She was even proven to have certain media identities basically stalked and harassed for pointing out anything critical about her during the court battles with Depp (especially details that could HELP Depp).

I mean Heard sounds like evil nasty shit to deal with overall. Other women were vocal about not liking her behavior. How much you wanna bet Mamoa picked up on the vibes working beside her and realized her media drama and personal toxicity could sink the movie if they weren't careful? His career was vulnerable with her around and he's got a family at home. If I had a wife and kids depending on me and my movie career, I likely would have played pacifist for their sake too.

I would not be shocked to hear the rumors of Heard's far-reaching manipulative fuckery intimidated even Mamoa. He's pretty and popular, but a Hollywood icon quickly learns just how easily that can be scrapped in less than a year if they cross the wrong person...

I thought Eustace and Muriel from Courage the Cowardly Dog were just Doug Funny and Patty Mayonnaise in the future living different lives after suffering amnesia.

The housing crises are real for many people right now. I would not wish homelessness during an impending economic downturn on anyone, not even those I disagree with.

Many people brush off the impact of such misfortune...until it happens to them.
