16 hours later and I'm not sure how I guessed lidar and liman before the word. To be fair, I was thinking about the first one because I saw said thing the other day in use for the first time in a while but I "made up" the second one. Scoredle says that the word was my only option left after those two.

That's exactly how it works. A 5% chance means that it can be expected once every 20 times on average. It might happen once in any given range of 20 times, it might happen a few times, or none at all. It will most often happen once in those 20 times though.

The ratings seem to be distributed more towards a 7. 42% of the ratings being a 1 but the majority of the remaining ratings being a 6, 7, or 8 has a disingenuous feel to it. Compare that to something like The Godfather where if you ignore the 50ish percent being 10, it's mostly 9, then 8's, etc.
