I don't think you understand why this is problematic.

Healthcare professionals going onto twitter, tiktok, youtube, etc. to vent or show emotions or do whatever they want to give us an insight into the hardships of being a frontline healthcare professional in the middle of a pandemic is totally appropriate. Talking about how you felt about a patient dying is appropriate.

This situation is not appropriate at all. Setting up a camera and then reacting to a patient dying does not come across as genuine and it comes across more like sociopathic.

We call this having no idea where your kid is.

It is understood that in the literal sense that she did not have an accurate sense of the geolocation of her child. Understood. We agree. I also agree that human beings are not literally omniscient and that fact is also largely agreed upon within the scientific community.

This parent had an "idea" of where her kid was. She was not "fucking off" for two hours while also holding onto the knowledge that her child was missing. She simply thought that her child was in the house playing somewhere.

If you want to continue pretending that no distinction is being made then you are being intentionally dishonest.

Its also weird to describe everyone else as being unhinged while youre the one ITT ranting at everyone and calling them incels

That is not what happened in our interaction at all.

This is not a healthy or normal reaction. I have done nothing wrong.

Wanting to crucify this parent is not a healthy or normal reaction. That is what I have been responding to in this topic and I don't think I have done anything wrong either.

Of course you didn't come in here accusing this parent of crimes like other people, I am not accussing you of that, but you responded to me trying to clear up the air in a condescending manner (I'm a condescending asshole so that part does not bother me).

This is all I said:

People itt are framing this as she realized that she didn't know where her kid was and then decided to fuck off for 2 hours. That would be negligence. When she realized that she didn't know where her kid was she immediately went looking. Had she realized that she didn't know where her kid was after 5 minutes there is no doubt in my mind that she would have immediately went looking after those 5 minutes as well.

I clearly laid out a distinction between negligence and an accident. People wanting to criminalize pure accidents are the ones that are unhinged here, not me.

You decided to ignore the distinction that I made in an effort to dunk on me or something? I don't really understand the point you were making but feel free to clear it up. If you wanted to let me know that humans are not actually omniscient then I thank you for helping clear that up for me.

I'm not even saying that she should burn for this or that I'm a better person than her, but it is extremely silly to try and say that actually yes, she did in fact know where her kid was.

Since, you know, she very clearly had absolutely no idea where the kid was. Hence the kid dying in her car without her knowing.

I clearly explained this in my post. I understand that in the literal sense that she didn't know where her kid was. Thank you for helping us clear up the fact that parents are not actually omniscient.

Not knowing where you kid is and fucking off for 2 hours =/= mistakenly thinking your kid is safe inside your home for 2 hours. That is the difference between criminal child negligence and a tragedy that can happen to any family.

There absolutely should be an investigation into child negligence in all cases like this, but going by what I'm reading from this story it is seems very clear that it was a mistake that any decent parent can make.

But please continue your outrage and virtue signaling because you need to let the world know how moral and superior you are to everyone. You're the worlds #1 parent nobody else has that same coffee mug only you.

I figure if you can't imagine leaving your kid in the car then when it does happen you won't even realize it.

It could literally be as simple as the kid noticed that nobody saw him and decided to play a game of hide and seek. Then passed out in a matter of minutes.

The non-parent incels in this topic just don't understand how children operate.

A few years back we were in a mall and decided to grab a bite to eat. Me and the wife were ordering hotdogs from a kiosk and our 4 year old saw that we turned away from him for a moment. He thought it would be fun to play a game and he bolted away from us in that moment. We found him quickly but it was enough to give us a good panic. Literally turn your head for 2 fucking seconds and your kid is gone. Shit like this will happen to every parent.

There are thousands of instances of self defense in this country that far and above outweigh these acts of evil.

Probably because this country stands alone and is unique in both its ease of access to firearms and the number of children that have been slain by those easily accessible firearms.

No other country in the world has this problem.
