Especially if it's just a backup device for when you're on the go / when the power goes out, you can save a lot here by not buying one that does more than you need. In the extreme case of only using it for basic online activity, it's even worth considering a tablet. (Not just for the lower cost, but tablets tend to have better battery life too.)

I have an extended business trip coming up. I will be staying in a hotel for anywhere for 8-12 weeks depending on how quickly the project is completed.

Is there any rules against setting up a mining rig in the hotel since I won't be paying electricity?

I drive the same car I got for my birthday last year and I live in my parent's winter house most of the year. when they come down here in the winter I take care of their normal house.

personally i just work a few hours here and there as a graphic designer for my dad's company and have plenty of money for my hobbies. more people should do that instead of slaving away.

So just to be silly and to tease my overly patriotic neighbor, I recently bought an American flag and and Antarctic flag. I fly them on the same pole with the antarctic flag at the top and the us flag second.

My neighbor is pretty heated and even called the cops on me for violating flag code, which is obviously unenforceable. He has responded by flying even more flags and now he has about a dozen american flags(or version of the american flag like the blue cop one) around his house

My mom's dumbass husband had to do a hair test and he insisted they take the hair off his arm. He had smoked weed like one time a year before.

He managed to argue out of it though with some article claiming ibuprofen can cause false positives

Based on my discussion with my colleagues we have all studied enough for this less difficult test.

There are 10 people in our department and we were recently acquired by another company who decided to hire all employees of the former company, but they still had to pass a background check and a drug screening.

We didn't know it was going to be a hair test and now 7 of us failed the test. They basically called us all in to a special meeting and said there were "irregularities" in the screening and that they want us all to submit to a urine screening to confirm the results.

Pretty sure they just know they can't replace us all because of how in demand the field is and are hoping we pass the urine test.

Hopefully we don't lose anyone.
