My daugher is now 3 months old (already!) and she definitely has more personality and character compared to when she was a newborn.

She'll still cry and whimper and scream for no apparent reason, but she does sleep for greater hours independently (in her bassinet, of course). She's also finding her voice and she'll coo and squeal as if she's trying to talk but can't.

And yes, she smiles. When I come back from work (or really at any time of the day), I just walk up to her and stare and she'll beam ear to ear. Man, as a dad, that's all I need from her at this point. Interestingly, she doesn't smile like that for her mother - she only smiles at me.

I use my debit card for every day purchases, but I put all my big ticket items (as well as all my travel and dining expenses) on my Chase Sapphire Preferred.

They bumped my credit line to $30k without me asking a few weeks ago which was nice. Chase isn't known to do that. Also, I pay the card off after every spend, so its balance is always at or near zero.

I have the Doorbell Camera Pro as part of my home's Vivint system and I didn't have to subscribe to anything more than what I already had to pay for. I'm looking at it now and its recorded events go back one full month.

If I'm not mistaken, I would need to subscribe to some sort of cloud service to go beyond that.

I don't want my Note 20 Ultra to die. The S22 line seems like a massive step back.

It's still going to get Android 13 and another full year of security updates then likely quaterly updates after that. N20U easily has another 2-3 years left.

I might look to see what next year offers even though I don't really need to upgrade. S21/S22 Ultra didn't cut it for me.

Probably because it's fairly light given its size. Wife has a 13 Pro Max and that thing is a brick.

Hell yeah

4 years undergrad and 4 years of pharmacy school. I also elected to do a 1 year pharmacy residency in pharmacy practice and got board certified in pharmacotherapy.

I'm a clinical pharmacist so I practice in the hospital setting and work alongside doctors and other healthcare professionals.

I have other pharmacist comrades here on CE but I think I'm the only one that's non-retail.

I welcome this wholeheartedly. My Samsung devices (phone, tablet, earbuds, laptop) all use USB-C and so when I travel, I only need one charger. How cool would it be if that same charger could also be used for my wife's iOS devices as well?

Apple has already opened the door to this by equipping the iPad and MacBooks with USB-C. If that charging standard is good enough for those devices, then why not the iPhone?

Oh, I don't doubt any of that. I'm only saying that a COSC certified watch is probably as accurate as you need any timepiece to be.

I'm wearing my Breitling Superocean now which is also COSC certified so I'm not concerned about accuracy/precision.

Believe it or not, but people have commented on the weight of my Chase Sapphire card as it's made of metal.

Still on my launch edition Note 20 Ultra from August 2020. Might entertain whatever comparable product Samsung releases next year. The phone itself has been perfectly fine.

My laptop is on Windows 11 and it works. That's good enough for me.

With few exceptions, there really isn't an upper limit to the amount of vaccines you can receive at a single visit.

I can always reuse my chargers especially since all my devices are powered by USB-C. I also have jumped on board with wireless buds so I'm cool with no headphone jacks as well.

Nice feature. Now we just have to work on scheduled messages and the ability to search for text within a conversation.

Nobody needs their phone display to be on when they aren't using it.

Traditional Watches have expectations to have their display on the whole time.

Series 7 Apple Watch:
-> 41mm: 352430 = 151,360 pixels w/ 284.2 mAh internal battery
compared to iPhone 13/Pro 2,962,440 pixels ~= 19.572x more pixels w/ 11.355x / 10.890x more battery

-> 45mm: 396484 = 191,664 pixels w/ 308.8 mAh internal battery
compared to iPhone Pro Max: 3,566,952 pixels ~= 18.610x more pixels w/ 14.093x more battery

Apple iPhones:
13 /Pro: 25321170 = 2,962,440 pixels with 3,227 mAh / 3095 mAh battery
Pro Max: 27781284 = 3,566,952 pixels with 4,352 mAh battery

The Total # of Pixels needed to be rendered & GPU/CPU/SOC processing demand for driving such few pixels on your Apple Watch is far more reasonable than compared to the full blown iPhone which has significantly more pixels and proportionally smaller batteries. Having to render that many more pixels is more demanding on not only the display's power draw, but also the CPU/GPU/SOC.

Having an AOD is a lot less taxing than you think it is. On my phone, it consumes a couple % of battery over a 24 hour period. Furthermore, you could just disable the option if you don't like it.

Let the end user determine if it's useful or not.

True but it's becoming a weaker argument by the day. Samsung (who basically owns Android at this point) is up to 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security patches on their flagships. When you get to 5 years, who really cares anymore?

Unfortunately, vaccines have an expiration date. So my point remains. We overproduced and are successfully able to serve all US citizens who want one. That's the most important part.

If they want to add vaccines specifically for sending to other countries, I'm all for it. But vaccines aren't these magical elixirs that we could've sent to other countries when they went unused.

Think of the terrible reaction that would be drawn if US citizens wanted vaccines but couldn't get them. That's FAR worse than having to throw away excess.

No. I work in a hospital pharmacy and have colleagues in outpatient pharmacies as well. I'm telling you that they go wasted.

Part of the problem is how the respective manufacturers supply the doses in multi-dose vials. This is the case for all current commercially available vaccines. So what happens now is that we get a call that someone on our acute care floors or in a doctor's office wants a dose and we have to dispense only the full multi-dose vial or the balance of an opened vial if it is still in date. These requests are so few and far between that each vial may only get a few doses and the balance gets wasted because they won't be used up before they reach their beyond use date.

One remedy that would go a long way is to approach the issue like we already do for the yearly influenza vaccine - supply them in individual pre-filled syringes. That way, each dispense would be a syringe that would supply a full dose and nothing gets wasted.

Yeah the battery on my wife's 13 Pro Max seems to last forever. I like the camera on my Note 20 Ultra better though.
