I used Ascended Idunn and Valentines Female Robin to save tank my way through the entire map. This was actually rather surprising since this hasn't really worked well in months. Although, I hit a snag at the end where I cornered Gotoh so he couldn't attack me at all but all of my units did 0 damage back. So I had to swap in some actual offensive power to win. I did briefly consider upgrading and using the Poison Strike 3 seal to bring him below 25% so I could hurt him but ultimately decided against it.

There are also quests to get a free Etie. She's probably a 3*-4* unit when she gets added to the regular pool.

I managed to get her in 1118 Orbs plus free pull. Only a 7% chance to do that which is kinda crazy. The expected cost is like 1800 Orbs. What's even sillier is I got 8 Linde as well. Only a 2% chance of getting both 11 Nino and 8 Linde or better. So, I guess I'm pretty happy with how things went!

It won't matter for Felix. Probably not for Soren either. It can't even be male Robin since the next male Robin will be Grima to pair with female Grima. If it is male Grima, that's actually a boost for male Robin.

That sounds like how I handled job hunting my first time. For me, I absolutely hated it. And yeah, those hiring freezes were what I was thinking of. Like, I was job hunting during the 2009 tech recession and it was kinda miserable so good luck!

Roommate situation has been finalized. I had one final headache where my bad departing roommate (the same one who reneged on Jan 1-15 rent) tried to abandon a bedframe in the room and then initially refused to return the keys before getting his security deposit (which I was withholding until he got rid of the bed), but he ended up backing down. Hopefully I'll get a job before either of the new roommates move out and not have to deal with this stuff ever again!

How has the job search been going? I don't hear much good about tech industry jobs these days but I'm not sure how much if affects your specific field.

The stones and coins got moved to Arena Assault. They also got doubled to make up for the fact that we don't get AA every week.

I only played Dragalia Lost for 2 months and it cut into my sleep schedule a lot! Although, I had to play a lot to get through the backlog of content so maybe it isn't so bad if it was spread out over 4 years.

Back down to just Fire Emblem Heroes. I don't know how people juggle multiple gacha games at a time. They take up so much time.

Dragalia Lost just shut down so I'm free from one gacha game.

Veronica is unlikely to be the Book 7 free unit. This is because she is red and the December Legendary/Mythic banner is effectively full on red. I say effectively because there is technically one spot open but CYL units rerun on the December banner so we know who will be in that red slot already.

The next levels are pure upgrades. The game doesn't even let you use lower level Gems once you have a higher level version.

The game doesn't let you create a lower level gem if you made a higher level Gem of the same type. So if a player makes a level 2 Gem before making a level 1 Gem, they can't make the level 1 Gem anymore.

I actually picked up a second gacha game recently. But, I won't be playing it for much longer since Dragalia Lost is ending service at the end of November.

That's tragic to hear although not super surprising since it is a gacha game. If nothing else, it's a memorable lesson in properly setting limits and how important it can be to stick to them. At least you cut your losses before it got to the point where you opened up your wallet.

I only went for the X level gems so you'll have to figure something out if there's some lower Gem level material that is hard to get.

Blessed Pippito Light is dropped by the UM Shimmering Marcko. I did Gem farming a while back but I think that UM wasn't too hard to Burst spam for items.

If I support and s then the song list gets changed to something I don't like, can I retract the support? In this particular case, say I'm in the minority opinion and other supports are happy with the nomination list.

For song cutoff, I would suggest going with random selection from the games nominated on the cutoff day. So if two games are tied and the were both nominated on Day 1 and there only 1 slot, the one of those two games are chosen at random. So nominating on an earlier day is an advantage but games nominated during the first minute of a particular day are considered equal to games nominated during the last minute of the same day.

I forgot that reflecting lasers with my shield was a thing so the Ganon fight was quite an ordeal for me. As such, I was happy to discover the second part of the fight was pretty easy.

By far the worst offender IMO is Astrid in FE9/10, who is named Stella in Japanese. I really don't understand that one at all. That's already a Western name, and sounds better...

The one that always stuck out to me was Kevin -> Kieran.

I think some of the more recent FE5 patches add QoL features that didn't exist in the original game. So if you want the authentic FE5 experience, you need to take care to avoid those.

Yeah, I think FEH was where she first got an official English name. So that would be 2017.

For the record, her official English name is Erinys. I don't know if any translation patches use that, though.

I liked the first two Creed movies a lot but I've only seen bits a pieces of the Rocky movies (mostly of IV). I've been meaning to watch the Rocky movies for quite sometime now but never got around to it.

Can position players throw well enough to get outs on professional batters? Like the game doesn't progress if the pitcher isn't good enough to do that, right?

How does running out of pitchers work? Is it possible to cycle back to earlier pitchers once they are rested or is there no point since there just isn't enough time to be rested or something?
