Hand traps exist to stop first turn player from going off tho. Traps like Imperm, Solemn, and Rivalry still see play in addition to archetype specific traps.

Imperm has double uses, because it also functions as a hand trap and gets a bonus effect if you can afford to set it.

Yugioh was a show that got made into a card game. I don't think there was really a plan for the longevity of the game at the time. Konami can be quite slow to reprint older cards so I doubt they really want to go back and update every card with keywords.

From what I've seen of this game it's just whoever goes first wins because they just draw their entire deck in one turn and win.

Even the best decks aren't drawing their entire deck in 1 turn. If that was the case Exodia would be meta.

Summon Skull technically has support with Archfiends. Not that Archfiends are much better, but the errata card says he's always treated as an Archfiend.

Red Reboot is a death sentence to Eldlich and stun in general, though Im not sure if its worth running 2. I feel like without a side deck, generic removal would be more flexible and less likely to brick.

It's hard to say it's worth while to splash in red reboot over other cards in your deck just incase you play against Eldlich. And most Eldlichs I face are rarely pure Eldlich now since Eldlich by itself has trouble winning and needs something to actual provide a wincon.

I don't think the Red Reboot to 2 will affect much in MD. Red Reboot is better as a side deck card that you swap in if you know your opponent is running traps. Otherwise it's a card that does absolutely nothing into combo decks that set up negate boards without traps.

Prank to 2 is a far bigger deal, because it's a more splashable card to put into the main deck.

Finally looked over the event rules and banlist... wow. They annihilated just about every notable non-extra-deck deck out there (True Dracos, Floowandereeze, Timelords, Monarchs, Pacifis, burn, stun, etc.) plus they neutered OTK strategies like Numeron and 8-Axis even if they still use Synchros or Xyz. On top of that, the insane Synchro boards we saw during the Synchro festival before won't be as common, partly because no Hyper Librarian but also because good luck setting them up within the shorter 300 second duel timer that they carried over from the Duelist Cup.

Honestly, I don't have a big problem with this. It'll be nice to see some actual decks in the festival instead of people trying to cheese points by using strategies that go against the focus.

Perhaps that person just wanted to mess around.

Honestly Lightning Storm tends to be much better than Raigeki simply because it's more flexible. But even then Lightning Storm is hard to just toss into decks, because it's a going 2nd card.

Raigeki is one of those cards that can be very impactful if you draw it, but a lot of decks can just float their board into other stuff and if you go first it's just a dead card in hand that doesn't help you extend or usable on your opponents turn to stop their plays.

Searching for specfic spell cards that aren't part of an archetype tends to be difficult so it's not like it's easy to get out of your deck if you do need it.

Also it is hard to make one when you cannot vomit a lot of bodies on the board (especially when Buster Blader fusion is pretty much a one-time deal).

Hence why I want to rework the deck a bit.

If you really need checks, any bounce to hand effect will work.

That is where knightmare unicorn will come in handy. I think its going to get a lot more play cause its also a way to deal with Mirrorjade without triggering its board wipe.

Honestly while ash and maxx c can be really useful, they end up bricking more than helping. And harpies aren't a deck that can 1 card combo so having majority of your opening hand being hand traps can just lose you the game.

Maxx c does nothing against floo and a lot of decks can simply play through ash. Most decks struggle to play against number 41 in defense and barrier.

I redid my Harpie deck and it can completely shut down decks.

The name was never changed. It was the patch notes blatantly attacking trans people that got him removed from the store. Granted this isn't the first issue the dev had done.

Before this he was banned for a week from his games discussion board because he was insulting people over him losing the ability to flag reviews because he was mass flagging negative reviews to try and get them removed.

Before that he thrown in an anti mask statement in a patch notes.

I think there was more but this guy has been using his patch notes as a platform to push his awful views.

People aren't pushing for these laws because they want children to work a couple hours and make some extra money like they do already. Like I had a paperroute as a kid made decent money for spending an hour a day delievering news papers.

The push is to have children work full shifts so they can avoid paying more for the current work force. Anyone defending this with "but kids already can work now " are ignoring that's there's a lot of restrictions to it and the push is to remove those.

Doesnt invalidate the argument that their career path will be harder than a more in-demand degree, though. Hell, tons of people on YouTube that studied these subjects couldnt make it into their career and became some type of influencer, which in itself is even harder to get tons of success at with everyone trying to become one. Just look at people like Odds1out and Let me Explain; even they got degrees in STEM fields and couldnt get into respective jobs and ended up becoming Diamond-tier subscribers YouTubers and work for themselves.

Sounds like STEM degrees are worthless if you can't get a job in that field with them

Not really. Speed is good, but if you don't have anything to do with that speed than it's pretty useless.

Electrode has 150 base speed making it in the top 10 fastest pokemon. It's really bad because outside of being to set up screens (something that other pokemon can do better than it), it does nothing.

What makes Regieleki so good is that it's not only the fastest pokemon, but it's ability and base 100 offenses means it hits really hard with it's STAB moves. It can also provide screen support since it's nearly impossible to taunt block it. It also has rapid spin to remove hazards. But it also has no coverage moves meaning that outside of hitting very hard with electric attacks and the utility it has available to it. It can pretty much be walled by any ground pokemon.

Totally someone who was just there out of self defense and not looking for trouble.

yeah I've won on emperor a few times but it's pretty much only possible if I take out a neighbor very early on and steal their territory. and even then it's a struggle if someone on the other side of the map is gonna get a science victory. being against korea/assyria/arabia is basically a guaranteed loss if you don't kill them early.

I have no idea how anyone wins the higher difficulties. I tried on diety once and lost by like turn 30 lol

Deity you almost have to engage in early wars and capture nearby cities. It's really hard to actually settle good cities against Deity AI due to the fact they all have 3 settlers.

Something they could do to help ice out some would be to make Hail actually useful like the other 3 weather types are. Hail really got the short end of the stick compared to the other 3.

Wouldn't completely fix ice types of course, but doing something like boosting their defense (like how sand boosts the special defense of rock types) would help out quite a bit.

Hail does have Aurora Veil. The thing is Hail can be pretty restrictive on team building since only Ice types are immune to the hail damage unless you have an ability that makes you immune to it. And Ice types are bad defensively so it's hard to make great use out of the chip damage.
