Did you know that some palontologists now believe that the Chicxulub asteroid impact wasn't the only thing that killed the Dinosaurs.

Around 65,000,000 years ago the supercontinent Panga was in the verge of violently breaking up. Not only was it causing massive earthquakes but it was also causing massive supervolcanoes.

Now those supervolcanoes were releasing massive amounts of soot and ash high into the atmosphere which in turn was blotting out the sun causing temperature drops. It was also causing acid rain.

Now that acid rain was poisoning the ground and plants which were poisoning the herbivorous Dinosaurs which were being eaten by the carnivorous Dinosaurs poisoning them.

Then the asteroid smashed into Earth.

So they were already on their way out before the asteroid hit so that was just the final nail in the coffin for them.

After the impact there were survivors of course. But like I said the plant eating Dinosaurs were being killed by the poisonous plants and the meat eaters from eating the dead bodies of the Dinosaurs and then the final few basically starved to death when the food ran out.

Have to imagine that we'll see similar events 100 million years from now when the next super continent forms.

It's important to note that beer had more value than water through much of human history due to its ability to sterilize. It had a much lower alcohol content than today, I doubt it was used to get drunk much.

The universe is expanding and galaxies are moving farther and farther apart. In the far distant future some alien species will look up at a night sky that would be practically starless.

Wouldn't they still have a lot of stars within their galaxy, though?

I imagine most of the stars we observe are within the Milky Way, although I'm not positive on that.

I'm thinking of going big on sqqq for a while.

I'll sell everything else, and buy it with a 20% trailing stop. When the fed announces they are done with rate hikes or that stop triggers, I'll return to my typical holdings.

ASO (Academy Sports and Outdoors) has been one of my favorite stocks over the last year and they just had a nice pop with their earnings report today.

This is an interesting one for me, because it's a business I had never heard of until my sister suggested a gift card to the place as a birthday gift for my nephew.

It hit the box of noticing a business gaining popularity in person, not online which I'm sure is filled with propaganda.

Nice to see it up 50% in 6 months, even in this downturn. Too bad I didn't put any money into it.

Arby's and DQ are both too low.

Arby's is solid, the roast beef isn't great on its own, but cover it in Arby's sauce and it's bomb.

DQ has surprisingly good burgers, plus blizzards.

Taco Bell can go up a tier. Drop BK and Hardee's, both are trash.

Never been in downtown Raleigh, but the outer neighborhoods near Cary and Wake Falls seemed really nice. I've assumed Raleigh is a nice city.

Voted suburb but I really mean large town / small city.

I've been playing through the remaster lately, and I'm nearing the end of 3.

The trilogy still holds up as one of the best series ever made. 3 is the best game in the series besides the last few minutes. It's almost comical how they could create such a masterpiece and then give such a terrible ending.
