They should absolutely get paid, but then we should also eliminate sports scholarships, priority class registration for the Athletics department, it being a factor in admissions, and every other perk that is currently granted to an athlete at a university other than pay.

This isn't giong to go away. Schools will do whatever it takes to get great athletes onto their rosters. This is a huge money maker for them.

its not like every kid applying to college gets them. Only the elite of athletes are able to get these perks, If they worked hard to get to that point in their lives, then let the colleges fight to get them in.

i don't know. I don't honestly care. But now that I think of it, people pay to go see a game. They pay money to the school, and the school makes more money teh better the team and the better the results. These athletes should be compensated for making the school look good.

Admittedly, I never did the math myself. I just remember someone who had a bunch of races mixed into her telling me that and I took that at face value.

yeah. i do. Its only when i go on social media or watch the news do i start to dislike people. But, in general, when i meet people in real life, they tend to want good in this world, and do something (however little or large) to fix the problems they perceive.

I'm a firm believer that just because someone does something good, doesn't mean they're a good person. And also, if someone does something bad, doesn't mean they're a bad person.

Despite what the news and social media tell you, there aren't as many bad people as we're led to believe, and they're not as many good people. They're just people, and we still value them for who they are. Its ok to embrace yourself as a person, and celebrate all the milestones you achieve, regardless of how small or big they are.

But its also important to take steps to make yourself better. If you did a bad thing, let yourself process it, and then see how you can fix it. Sometimes its tough. Sometimes it can't be fixed. But think it through to how you can start efforts to make it right.

Phil LaMarr was amazing as John Stewart/ Green Lantern. In fact, he was so good, the only Green Lantern in my mind is John Stewart.

I guess it all depends on how you use it. Met my wife online and I'm very happy with her. Been together for several years. I didn't meet her on tinder though, and the app we used was specifically for meeting people who want something serious (like not hook ups or something casual).

No clue. IMO meeting people online and engaging in a successful manner is more difficult than doing it in real life. Both my wife and I were no strangers in socializing in real life before we met each other, and we were complete neophytes in the online scene.

I'm not trying to make this about me, but its happened to me before, and it completely broke my heart. For one, I knew this girl really well, and we were close. And because of that i made the excuse for her that she really had something urgent in her life that she had to postpone our meetings. But it kept happening.

I've generally avoided social boards, but recently I moved to CE because there were less happening places on GameFAQs, and CE just had a ton of people.

I mean, what's not to like? They got peoiple like Vegy!

I'm wondering why non under cover cops in America are allowed to wear plain clothes. For example, a Police Captain who wears a suit, or a detective who sometimes wears casual clothing. Sure, he has his badge hanging like a necklace, or on his belt, but in situations like the one in this topic, it seems like the cop shot before properly assessing the situation. He saw a gun and a person not in a police uniform and shot.

Has there been incidents where cops shot another cop? I have heard of cops shooting under cover cops, but I mean cops who were not undercover but not in uniform.

My work hours doesn't allow me to connect with my old friends. Everyone works 9 til 5, I work 3pm til 1am and work weekends. And I can't just switch jobs because its my own business.

hey Vegy, did CEgals ever really dated CEmen? Was this ever a trend, or were there isolated people who met each other offline and began dating?

I've been coming to the GameFAQs message boards since 1999, and only once did I ever meet someone who also went to the message boards. We didn't meet on purpose, and he just so happened to be taking a class I was taking and I saw him posting on the boards. That was in 2011, so ever 10 years ago now.

My point is, I really honestly doubt that many people here actually have met another CEgal/men (unless by accident) much less date them.

btw, I haven't been on CE long, but judging by the personality of the CE girls I've noticed thus far, they'd never would want to date a guy like me.

my wife is pregnant about the same amount of time. I haven't really told anyone (except for CE, I guess), and won't until probably week 12.

Not to say you should follow this or not. This is really our personal decision.

i have no idea why this is even being discussed. she's an adult (or at least expected to be an adult) on all aspects, but most importantly mentally, physically and legally.

i can't think of a time a company rose the price of their own console, but I also honestly don't care.

The price will eventually comes down again or the PS5 will go on sale. If it doesn't, then at the bare minimum there will be someone selling it used for cheaper.

I don't need to get it now, and I don't need to get it at the price they're asking for. this is not an essential.

... I guess I saw a person on their death bed who wanted to play Total War: Three Kingdoms back in 2019, but the game wasn't released yet. A representative from the company gave them a copy and they were able to play it right before they died.

But other than those situations, its really not that hard to wait until the PC port. At the end of hte dya, Square still wants to make money.
