Edge highlighting has never been my strong suit. They always come out looking too bright. Recently I have been trying using thinned down paint to layer up the highlight. Still not confident enough to post pictures.

Post them! I love seeing other peoples minis no matter the skill level. And the way your talking makes it sound like you know what your doing :)

Edge highlighting just takes practice. The key is also to get it balanced and highlight areas where the light source is coming from. Some people highlight every single edge to the extreme and their models end up looking like something out of tron!

I'm not particularly interested in the minis or the game, but I've been exploring a lot of 40k's lore recently. It's really interesting stuff.

The Horus heresy series of novels is brilliant. Its technically 30k and is a very very long detailed setup for 40K. Its about 60 odd novels long at this point though and thats just the main books.

The first 3 books are basically a trilogy themselves and well worth reading if your interested in the lore though.

These are pretty good for your first minis for sure! Better than my first attempts back in the 90s haha!

In the U.K. in 1996 the dunblane massacre happened. 16 kids and one teacher shot dead by a single shooter with his legally owned guns. Very similar to this situation.

In response, the U.K. government banned all guns except single shot cartridge weapons.

We havent had another school shooting since.

I get the argument that there are already too many guns in America. But thats a cop out for me. It literally does not happen in any other developed country like it does in America. There is no decent argument at al for it been legal to buy and own guns so easily: its fucking insane.

Its absolutely mental that over in the USA, the most free country on earth, laws exist telling women what they can and cant do with their own bodies. Its actually insane.

I thought you guys were also meant to have a separation of church and state as well, so why the fuck are states allowed to base their laws on religion?
